Disable an input source for an application Posted: 16 Jul 2022 11:26 PM PDT I have 'English' and '2-Set Korean' input sources enabled on my Macbook Pro with macOS Monterey Version 12.4. For Emacs.app, I would like to enable only English and disable the other(s) since Emacs has its own multilingual environment including input methods. Would it be possible to disable other input sources only on an application without changing the system input source set? Background: I am currently using a "remapper" daemon that I've written myself to (sort of) disable the Caps Lock key only on GNU Emacs.app (and yes, I've checked on "Automatically switch to a document's input source" in the Keyboard Preferences). I am quite happy with this hack, but sometimes the system input source changes to 2-Set Korean for reasons I don't know when I type things very fast. In that case, I have to use the mouse to change the input source back to English. This is nuisance, and I thought it would be convenient if I could completely disable all input sources but English on Emacs.app. |
Why would one need to remove any cable connected to the 2nd USB-C port when charging an Apple Watch? Posted: 16 Jul 2022 10:05 PM PDT I am read on the Anker USB C Charger, 735 Charger (Nano II 65W) Amazon page:
Why would one need to remove any cable connected to the 2nd USB-C port when charging an Apple Watch? Would an Apple Watch charge any quicker if connected to a 12W USB power adapter? and https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250108601 mention that 12W should be more than enough. |
MacBook 15-inch speakers on when closed, is it damaging them? Posted: 16 Jul 2022 10:08 PM PDT I have my MacBook on a stand and I plug in a monitor and listen to something and I occasionally forget to plug-in my speaker. Will it damage my Mac speakers if they're facing the screen ? |
Posted: 16 Jul 2022 11:07 PM PDT Is there a way to export photos from an album in Photos.app on my MacBook then to a folder in that order? Since Catalina, I've not been able to do that even with titles and and the number box checked in export, but I have always been able to do that in previous OS X systems. |
