Why do I create 2 characters when starting a new playthrough?

The character creation process is very confusing to me. I know it's early access and things are being polished continiuously, but it's unclear why I need to create 2 characters.

After completing all the steps for the first time I clicked 'Venture forth'. Then a character was shown that has no resemblance to the character I just created. I got confused and thought this was a bug or my character was not created yet.

It turns out you need to create another character. What is purpose of this second character?

I'm playing Endless Survival in PvZ1 on my phone, and here is my current setup:

I originally had a Gatling Pea on the top and bottom lanes, but then I realized that while it has a bigger range, the Gatling Pea only hits the front target, which can really clog things up with large hordes.

The Fume Shroom on the other hand, while it has a shorter range, it does hit everything in its range.

I did a bit of research about how much damage they both deal, and the Gatling Pea deals 20 damage per pea (so 80 per round) and the fume shroom also deals 20 damage per Spore, however it only deals one shot per round.

Which is the better option for my set up?

Is it suitable for non-gamers who are 60+ and want to kill some free time? Typical PS games are too complicated for seniors, there should be simple rules but fun.

Can I transfer my trinkets from my weapons to the ones I find in the field?

I just found a new weapon that I want to swap with my current weapon. My current weapon currently has some trinkets attached to it. Can I take my trinkets off my current weapon and transfer to the new weapon so I can keep it all? Or do I have to leave my trinkets behind?

In Pokémon Yellow Version Professor Oak was going to give the player an Eevee, and he said he'll give the rival a Pokémon later, but then the rival takes Eevee from you and Professor Oak says he has no choice but to give the player the Pikachu he just caught.

What was Professor Oak's plan if the player took Eevee and he hadn't caught the Pikachu?

Enchanting Netherite sword in 1.16

I have a Netherite sword with Fire aspect II, Bane of arthropods V.

Why can't I combine it with an enchanted book (Sharpness III, Piercing I) at an anvil?

I was expecting to be able to use the Sharpness III from the book while getting rid of the Piercing effect.

In NEO: TWEWY, ordering food raises a fullness bar. If the bar goes past 100%, you can't order more food until you drain your fullness to 0% by battling noise.

How much fullness gets drained by combat? Is the amount of fullness drained affected by things like the length of a fight or difficulty level? Or is it a consistent amount per fight?

Can I use previously not selected perks in the punch card machine?

From what I could find, the punch card machine allows to create a second build for the same character by redistributing and saving a new set of SPECIAL attributes and assign new perks. This means (again, to my understanding), that I can have, for example, a heavy gunner build and a shotgun build that I can switch between.

However, when I was leveling my basic shotgun build, I didn't choose any heavy guns related perks, as both shotgun and heavy guns use Strength as their main SPECIAL attribute. Hence now, I cannot simply switch from shotgun to HG, because while I've unlocked the Shotgunner (regular, expert and master) and the scattershot perks, I don't have any cards for the heavy guns (heavy gunner/ expert HG/ master HG /Bear Arms).

If I use the punch card machine, will I be able to re-select perks as I was leveling from lev 1 again, or does it only allow to select already unlocked perks?

How to put commands in items?

I added crates and I wrote in the commands /lp user %player% parent set and the rank that he wins, but I realised and then tested. The problem with that is when I have higher rank it will make it lower like if I have rank 1 and I get rank 2 it will rank up me to 2, but if I have rank 3 it will also put me to 2 so I lose rank.

Is there a way to put the lp user command in a item, so the players don't lose the rank? And if with a plugin, can you suggest me one? Also something common happens with the kits, if it automaticly gives the player the kit, but everything in the inventory disappears, so I want to put that command in a item too.

I also thought about making a spot that they can get automatically teleported and get the rank and automaticaly leave, but they can tp other players so everyone can get the rank by just one guy.

How To Silence Evocation Fangs?

I was playing around with the /summon command, and I stumbled upon evocation fangs. I then typed in a command into a command block: /summon evocation_fangs sawblade ~~1~. This created a sort of sawblade: Image

Unfortunately, this saw-blade is quite loud! How do I mute the evocation fangs while keeping ambient sounds?

What does "Guardians Make Their Own Fate" mean?

In Vault of Glass, triggering the DPS phase is indicated when a message at the lower left corner says "Guardians make their own fate.".

I'm not sure why it's worded this way or if it has a deeper meaning than to tell the player to start DPS'ing Atheon.

How does the Free Freighter quest REALLY work in No Man's Sky?

The first time the player completes a freighter rescue mission in No Man's Sky they are given the option to obtain said freighter for free. If the freighter is not accepted, this option is carried on to the next rescue until the player finally accepts - from that point onward, any new freighter must be bought normally.

Given this is an one-time offer, most players try to use the "free freighter" option to obtain one of the two "Capital" models (Venator / Sentinel) and just stick with it. Multiple tutorials exist to guide players in the process to acquire their preferred ship for free, usually listing a process similar to the following.

  • wait until the next warp will trigger a freighter rescue battle.
  • SAVE BEFORE WARPING
  • warp to a new system. Look at the freighter - if it is one you don't like, reload the save and go to a different system.
  • if the freighter is the one you were looking for, do not save it yet. Go to the system space station, perform a quick save, reload the save and exit the station.
  • every time you reload the quick save and exit the station, the battle will be triggered again. This allows for "easy" freighter class scumming (every time the battle is triggered, the freighter gets a random class, so it is possible to redo the battle until you get an "S" version).

Things get a little more fuzzy when one is trying to get a capital ship. The available guides usually don't fully agree on the required steps.

  • some claim that the first freighter is always a regular one but if you refuse it the second offer is guaranteed to be a capital one
  • some claim that you can get a capital ship on the first offer but only in three star economy system (normally, an higher economy level means the system offers rarer ships)
  • some claims that the first time you are offered a free freight the number of inventory slot is capped to 19 and that in turn doesn't allow capital versions to spawn (since the worst capital ship would still have more than 19 slots)
  • some claim that the real caveat is that the first rescue mission is offered at about 5 warps but capital ships requires at least 8 warps, so they are not yet unlocked when the player get their first rescue mission (but extreme speed-runs may be able to bypass this limit since there is also a minimum total-playtime requirement that may allow players to get to the required 8 warps before their first battle).

I have passed the point where I can test this in my game, but recently a friend was asking me for some hints about this very topic. Since they don't have access to portal coordinates yet, they can't just use the Coordinates Exchange archive to go to system that has the ship they like. For that reason, I was trying to make sense of the various theories, but couldn't find a definitive answer.

So, I am asking if anyone here can link a source that backs up its claims with actual data (maybe from datamining the game logic or quoting word of god / patch notices).

Mission, Franklin and Lamar. Objective, deliver repo car with minimal damage. I have driven so carefully as to not touch anything, three times over. The objective is greyed out in the replay screen, and I know I've achieved it at least twice. Do crashes accumulate through retries, or what's going wrong here? Mission, complications. Objectives, complete in 5:00. I timed myself doing it in 4 minutes 37 seconds, once again, objective is greyed out in replay screen. What am I doing wrong here?

How do you teleport a player to a moving objective?

I created a big adventure map and I was able to do lots of amazing things I never thought possible with redstone, but I came across a problem I was baffled by.

I have a house in minecraft that is movable. I want to know of a way I can teleport directly to my house using a command block. The catch is that my house is never in the same spot so the x,y,z coordinates are constantly changing.

One way I thought of that might possibly work would maybe have a clock set up to record my radius around my house using /setspawn so I'll constantly have my spawn position recorded; however, this isn't very good for teleporting as I would have to kill myself. There's a possible way of keeping your inventory after you die, but you would still lose exp. I don't really like the idea of dying to re-spawn as a "tele". It seems as though I'm trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Anyone have any ideas of a way to actually teleport using a command block to some how record your current x,y,z position in a certain radius? I am also open to plugin suggestions;however, I don't like releasing a map that requires a bunch of plugins.

Oh btw I'm on a 1.7.10 build. I know the 1.8.0 added a lot of new commands.

Copying Battlefield 3 files to new machine

Im upgrading my Processor from Intel Q9550 to AMD FX 8350, so its surly going have to format my C drive, and re-installing Windows 7 again.

While my Battlefield 3 setup (origin) is on D drive.

Will it still work when I re-install win 7 again ? Or Do i Need to take any registry backup, if any how.

Please guide me. And I hope when re-install Origin again on new machine the copied files should work.

More details. My current Origin path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
