Does the number of "days" that a save has been going on for, matter?

Or is it just for your information and has no effect on anything?

Because I'm still in the Early Game with 400+ days.

How is Gear Score calculated? What does it represent?

I was under the impression that Gear Score was just an overall quality number for a piece of gear, that takes everything into account. But then I came across these two pieces: enter image description here

The one on the left has significantly lower stats, but still a higher gear score. The only benefit to the one of the left is that it weighs 2.1 less. Why is the weaker gear rated higher in its Gear Score?

How is Gear Score calculated? Does it actually affect the gear? Can I use it to determine which piece of gear is better?

What is the 'NB' sigil in the LoL Worlds Video?

There is a sigil that shows up often in the clip. Here's an image:

Thing is, even if I know the LoL iconography pretty well, this sigil means nothing to me.

So is it a chinese/korean character of some sort? Some brand (tought it could be a new logo of New Balance, but that doesn't seem to stick)? Or is it something Worlds Related that was not announced yet?

How to /tell a Player an NBT property of a item on 1.12.2?

I'm trying to create a small basketball game on my server (from scratch to learn command blocks).

To test that it's working, I'm trying to have the Basketball item tell me who threw it. However, whenever I try this:

/execute @e[type=item,r=3] ~ ~ ~ /tell @p @s [{Thrower}]

it doesn't work.

Is it possible to have a NBT tag property in a tell command? Or is there something else I have to do?

I'm on version 1.12.2

Command Block Effectiveness Range

Can you be too far away for a command block to work? (ie. command does not execute)

I am curious because I was making a super-flat world a void one by filling a 7x7x4 zone around the player with air to clear it. But as I got farther away from the repeating command block, the space around me was not being filled. However when I got close enough to the command block, the command executed successfully. There is no radius limiter in the command itself, so I was wondering wether or not there is a hard-coded range limiter for command blocks.

Function command doesn't work

I'm trying to make a datapack and a I have a function and when I call it normally within code or Minecraft it works fine and if I run the command execute as @e[tag=robot] if block ~ ~-1 ~ air run function robot:simulate_gravity in the code it doesn't work but inside Minecraft when I call it from the chat it does work.

Any ideas why?

Why can't I create a new file in Bridge V2?

I am trying to create an addon for Minecraft and have decided to use bridge V2. As I am new to the software, I decided to watch a few tutorials and all of them show how to create a New File. When I press the New File button nothing happens, whereas all the other buttons work.

Could you explain to me why this isn't working and what the solution is? Thanks.

Edit: Just noticed after I have attempted to create a new file the tool bar at the top becomes grey and I am unable to click on it which suggest it has done something.

I was looking for a command and I found this:

/execute @a[x=a,y=b,z=c,r=d] ~ ~ ~ tp @p e f g

Where:

  • a, b, and c are the XYZ coordinates that you want to teleport players from.
  • d is the radius in blocks around that point where players will be selected (min 1)
  • e, f, and g are the XYZ co-ordinates that you want to teleport players to (i.e. the destination)

My command turned out to be:

execute @a[-122,4,-74,999] ~ ~ ~ tp @-124 27 -74

It doesn't work and I don't know why.

Minecraft Launcher won't load?

See, this is a strange one. I couldn't find anywhere on the internet with a solution to the problem, they were all similar but different. When I click on the Minecraft launcher, it starts. But it doesn't load. It just stays as a blank gray window. Like the one you see for a split second when you start the launcher, and then after that the UI loads in. But it never does, it just stays gray:

Please help. Also sometimes it works, but it's a very small chance and very infuriating.

Teleport Command in minecraft ps4

I'm attempting to run a repeat command that will move an armour stand 1 block on the x axis, but when I put

/tp @e[type=armor_stand] ~1 ~ ~

it does not move it 1 block from the entity, but instead moves it 1 block from where the command is executed. So seems that ~ functions differently on PS4 than on PC.

Is there a way to remedy this on PS4?

How to put commands in items?

I added crates and I wrote in the commands /lp user %player% parent set and the rank that he wins, but I realised and then tested. The problem with that is when I have higher rank it will make it lower like if I have rank 1 and I get rank 2 it will rank up me to 2, but if I have rank 3 it will also put me to 2 so I lose rank.

Is there a way to put the lp user command in a item, so the players don't lose the rank? And if with a plugin, can you suggest me one? Also something common happens with the kits, if it automaticly gives the player the kit, but everything in the inventory disappears, so I want to put that command in a item too.

I also thought about making a spot that they can get automatically teleported and get the rank and automaticaly leave, but they can tp other players so everyone can get the rank by just one guy.

Can you spend your time just walking around in Animal Crossing?

My three-year-old daughter loves to just walk around the landscape of whatever game I've got in my Nintendo Switch at the time, which is great, but I'm trying to play LoZ: Skyward Sword at the minute and she's getting frustrated at the bats flying around and hitting her in the head and it's stopping me progressing out of the Knights Academy where she seems to be "safe" to walk around...

I had the thought that I could just buy Animal Crossing: NH for her since my understanding of the game is you're just managing your own little village (I've never played one!) so I was hoping she'd just be able to walk around this little village to her hearts content without some NPC interrupting her merry little path...

Is this the case or are there similar fiendish interruptions that would annoy her?

Mining for Diamonds in Minecraft

In Minecraft, I'm trying to get diamonds, for both a pickaxe and an enchanting table. Once I have enough, I also want armor. What's the chance I'll get a diamond while strip mining at bedrock? I don't want to cave mine, since it's dangerous. Why I am asking is because I want to know if strip mining at bedrock is better, or quarry mining at bedrock.

Check players permission-level

I am currently working on a minecraft map for realms, and was wondering if there is any way to check a players op/permission level.

In a minigame, no one has operator permissions except the owner who is an operator with level 0 in order to be able to get into the server when it's full, and settings cannot be changed. Control panels normally designed to be used by operators may need to be updated to allow any player to use them.

(From the minecraft atlas guidelines page)

So how do I check if a player is operator? (Through datapacks/commands)

Minecraft sprinting while running and jumping

I have been playing on the same computer for about 5 years and it worked perfectly. Now for some reason i can not jump while running woth sprint or just at all walking and jumping. I try to do it and i just jump in place. I tried changing version and it did not work. I try to run and jump and it goes well for about 1 or half a second and then i jump in place with no movement at all for like 5 seconds and that has been happening for about 2 weeks now. On all servers. I didnt change anything in my computer, version or buttons. It just started happening out of nowhere. What do i do? Sorry for mistakes, English is not my main language.

How to check for minimum amount of items in Player Inventory?

For starters I am aware that a similar thread already exists, however it does not answer my question as well as being outdated. Reference: Testing for a minimum amount of items in a players inventory

I require a single command that can check if a player has a minimum amount of x item in his/her inventory. Format: /execute if _________________ run _________

This is for the CommandPanel Plugin, and is supposed to make an item buyable, however if there are any other suggestions on how to make an item buyable with CommandPanel Plugin TELL ME please!

My os is Windows 10 Pro Versión 1909 (18363.1256)

What is the maximum number of blocks you can reach/hit a player in PvP?

I looked up a bunch of websites online, and answers vary from 3-5 (https://hypixel.net/threads/minecraft-maximum-attack-range.180414/). Some say client side is 3 blocks and server side is 6, so it can vary between 3-6 (https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/anyone-know-the-maximum-hit-distance.245846/).

From my experience, on all servers I played on (12+), my anecdotal data is averaging 2-3 blocks, with 3 probably being the maximum. But I haven't done an experiment with a player standing still, asking them their F3 coordinates, and comparing them with my F3 coordinates while making sure I'm able to hit them, and then subtracting the difference to find the distance I can hit them at. I would think that would be the most accurate way to measure it and probably include ping at current time just in case that becomes a variable.

Is there a trick to jumping higher?

I'm trying to reach the secret terminal in level 5 (Subway). I know where the terminal is, but I can't reach it.

All I need is to jump on two more benches, but I can't seem to jump high enough.

In games like Half-Life, I would crouch in mid-air, but I can't crouch in this game. Is there a trick to jumping higher?

Explain the best Y level (height) for mining in Minecraft

I favor mining in straight, torch-lit tunnels. There aren't any mobs and it's easy to find my way back out. But I've never really been sure how deep I should go for the best results. I've seen all kinds of varying answers, but most of them don't come with any real explanation and almost none of them show their work.

To make the question more specific, these are the resources I'm usually hoping to find when I go to mine:

  • Diamonds for better equipment.
  • Lapis Lazuli for use in enchanting.
  • Iron for general use.
  • Gold (sometimes) when I want to make golden apples or trade with villagers/piglins.

I value them in roughly this order, though sometimes I want lapis more than diamonds when I really want to enchant some items.

I don't particularly care about:

  • Redstone because I have little use for it and I usually end up with plenty.
  • Coal because I usually have enough already.
  • Emeralds because I can get more by trading with villagers than by mining for them anyway.

So, what are the best Y levels to dig across in trying to get these resources, and why?

Best way to experience Halo MCC (Playing order)

With Halo MCC coming to PC, making it available for a wider audience, many might consider jumping in to experience the Halo universe.

A friend of mine started very recently and to my surprise, he started with Halo CE, his reason it being the first Halo game. And this got me thinking.

Similar to the Star Wars saga, we have a more recent game being a prequel to an older game, i.E. Halo Reach being a prequel to Halo CE, and maybe somehwat Halo: ODST and Halo 3, though the difference is less noticable.

Chronologically, the order would be (IMO) Halo Reach, Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo: ODST, Halo 3, Halo 4. But since Halo Reach is a more recent game than Halo CE, it has many new features as in weapons, armor abilities, vehicles and the like which will be missing in Halo CE. So when starting with Halo Reach, you will be taking a heavy downgrade in features when continuing with Halo CE.

So my question is: Is there an equivalent to Star Wars' machete order to the Halo franchise?

Why am I only level 4 after leaving White Orchard?

From what I can tell on some other posts on the topic, I should be higher level. (8+?)

I did everything possible in White Orchard. All side quests, everything on the one notice board (there was only one), discovered all locations, everything.

Yet I came out just barely above level 4, which is making Velen very difficult.

I am playing on Blood and Broken Bones if that matters.

I do have a handful of mods, but none of them should have any real gameplay effects, they're all mostly QoL and so-on. Here's the list:

  • Community Patch - Base (installed manually, the rest that follow were installed via Witcher III Mod Manager)
  • Community Patch - The Besserwisser and Nitpickers
  • Fast Stash Menu
  • Fix Red Wolf Armor
  • Friendly Meditation
  • Horse Camera Tweaks
  • Immersive Sound
  • Item Selection Grid Fix
  • Map Quest Objectives
  • Community Patch - Menu Strings
  • No Indignant NPCs
  • Community Patch - Shared Imports
  • Sort Everything
  • Thoughtful Roach
  • Unread Descriptions
  • Window Glass Distortion Fix

Nothing in here is an overhaul or really much of anything gameplay related. Just patches and minor tweaks. They were merged properly.

Apparently there is an effect where you get less XP for a quest if you complete it above the requirement, but that only kicks in 5-6 levels above the requirement. So there's no way that could have had an effect. Side note, there's a mod to fix that here that works with the latest version.

I made a mechanism where if you get hit, you get hit by lightning. However all the redstone freezes and stays on if you spam it. Because it test if you have stat.damageTaken and if it is 1 or higher it executes lightning at all players with score of one or higher. However I can't do /scoreboard players reset @a isHit fast enough because I need a delay for the lightning going away. However during the delay, a player can hit the other player again and spam it freezing the redstone. Is there away to make it reset instantly or make the player unable to hit for a few ticks? I prefer the 2nd one becuase it makes it less OP for a custom PVP map I am making

I've been working with command blocks for a while and i have gotten pretty good at them, however i'm trying to make a baby zombie (with full diamond armor) riding a chicken and I just cant do it! I can make a baby zombie riding a chicken, or a baby zombie wearing diamond armor, but i cant do both. Where should both qualities go in the coding?
