What are the requirements to play Kingdom Hearts on Nintendo Switch?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:36 AM PDT

The Kingdom Hearts series will come to Nintendo Switch. It will use cloud technology to make this possible, apparantly it's not the first game that uses this technology.

What do I need to have except for a Nintendo Switch and the game to play? Do I need to have an online subscription? How long will this Cloud gaming be supported (as they need to keep running servers to play I guess)?

How to check if item exists before giving the player a new one

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 02:45 AM PDT

I have tried a few ways and tried many commands but I just don't seem to get it right.

What I'm trying to do :

I have a Minecraft realm with a town center where each player can press a button, which triggers a command block, giving them one pickaxe with a unique identifier (not sure what or how). Would be nice if the pickaxe could be named after the player who pressed the button like "Minecraftuser12312 Pickaxe" but not important,

If they press the button again I need to make sure they do not have the item and if the item is also not just thrown out to pick another one up from the command block.

Any help would be appreciated <3

Things to know :

I am the realm owner and command blocks are enabled in the world.

My laptop is unable to efficiently choose the right GPU

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 02:11 AM PDT

I have hp Pavilion series laptop with the following specs: CPU : Ryzen 5 4500H GPU 1: AMD Radeon integrated GPU 2: Nvidia GTX 1650ti

The issue started suddenly. My laptop is not using the nvidia GPU to its full potential. I used to get 130+ fps in csgo and valorant, but now im getting around 60fps. I saw that that my laptop has 100% amd radeon usage but only around 30% 1650ti usage. But in some games like tonb raider, my laptop is using 100% nvidia gpu, and i am getting around 80 fps at high settings. I have already put nvidia as the preferred graphics card innvidia settings. But there is no option for switchable graphics on amd radeon software. I have also changed my power plan to prefer nvidia graphics card.

What techniques are available to dig a perimeter in the nether without glitches/cheating?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 12:13 AM PDT

I don't want to use any glitches or cheats, so world eaters are out (duping is a glitch).

As of 1.17, what methods/strategies/systems are available to dig a perimeter in the nether?

I ask because in the overworld one starts digging from the top, goes down layer by layer, and then gets to bedrock. In the nether, there is a roof, lavalakes (that can't be turned into obsidian and mined, and you can't use sponges), and big big gap in between, so digging layer by layer is not really an option, or is it?

Is there something I am missing? Should I use an elytra while doing it? Should the lava lakes be emptied first? (also, how do you do that? lotsa buckets?)

Who is the Deku in the Deku Mask?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:14 AM PDT

In Majora's mask, the masks of Transformation are all created from "tormented souls", that Link uses the song of healing on, and they are then transformed into masks. I.e. the Zora Mask is created from Mikau, and the Goron Mask is created from the Ghost of Darmani III.

These both have their own dedicated mini-stories to them, establishing them as real characters in the story of the game, whereas when the Skull Kid transforms Link into a Deku, it comes across as more of a curse than binding him to the soul of another. And again, once he plays the Song of Healing for the first time, it simply shows Link waving at the Deku as it retreats, and the Deku mask drops at his feet.

Is this Deku significant in anyway, or even a real character, or is this simply a curse created by the Skull Kid?

"/item modify... <add armor attributes>" 1.17 datapack issue

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 11:23 PM PDT

I am trying to modify the armor a certain entity is wearing (based on material) by adding a very slight movement speed decrease, which I should be able to do with attributes. I have the entity tagged so I can access it with /execute as @e[tag=…] run .

According to the internet, /item modify is the way to do this, yet there are no examples or command generators I could find. I found plenty of ways to do /attribute or /give commands, but no examples for /item modify.

I currently have:

item modify entity @s armor.feet __________

In the blank location, I attempted to fill this with the following words: set_attribute, attribute, etc. Regardless of what I seem to put in the "modifiers" spot, it always returns unknown item modifier.

How would I add a custom movement speed attribute decrease to it? It's probably easy but I can't seem to figure it out.

check for 3 or more blocks in inventory

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 10:24 PM PDT

I need to check for three or more cobblestone in a player's inventory using command blocks, I know how to check for the exact amount but not or more. let's say the player has 3 cobblestone in their inventory, the command "execute at @a[nbt={Inventory:[{id:"minecraft:cobblestone",Count:3b}]}] run say hi" works great, but if the player has 10 it doesn't work.

Are there any games that follow the basic gameplay of Pokemon netbattle?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 09:08 PM PDT

By "Pokemon netbattle" I'm referring to the 1v1 gameplay that comes in Pokemon games - where you have six Pokemon and battle against an opponent also with six Pokemon. According to game designer David Sirlin, it's particularly well-suited for competitive play. Sirlin designed the card game Kongai in an attempt to improve on the core gameplay of Pokemon netbattle.

Are there any other games that also attempt to build on Pokemon netbattle?

To illustrate what I'm looking for, there are tons of games that attempt to build on Magic: the Gathering and Dota Auto Chess, which trailblazed the genre (e.g. Hearthstone and Storybook Brawl respectively).

Is it possible to use /replace and give it a enchant without affecting the rest of the armor?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 08:09 PM PDT

I'm trying to make it so that the command block gives you an elytra and you can't take it off since if you do so it will duplicate, is there a way to give the elytra an enchant of curse of binding and not effect the rest of the armor. I'm on bedrock edition btw.

minecraft output log

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 07:26 PM PDT

Basically, I am trying to write a program that will list the usernames of players on a server at the same time as me. (Example, if Red and Blue are on the server when I join, then the program will print Red, Blue) One way that I could think of was to use the launcher_log.txt file from the .minecraft folder. There's a command called /who that I can use that will print the usernames of online players in the game chat, which will show up in launcher_log.txt, however, it doesn't seem like the file updates in real time so does anyone know another method to do what I'm trying to do.

Is it possible to make a bossbar in Java Edition 1.12 or below?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 10:07 PM PDT

I want to add a bossbar to one of the boss mobs in my map. But I'm working in 1.12.2.

1.13 has a /bossbar command, but this is a later version than the one I am working in. How can I make my custom bossbar in 1.12?

Why aren't the enderman spawning in the only possible location?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 09:46 PM PDT

I'm in the end, in a space in the void, and near the bottom, at y = 2, where I'm not close to any specific piece of land where enderman can spawn. All spawnable places have been covered with slabs or lighting, all, but the four endstone blocks in front of me, in the enclosed, roofless 2x2 area.

Still, even with that area being the only one spawnable, no enderman are spawning at all. I've tried going away and coming back, I know they won't spawn if I'm already here, but no matter the case they don't spawn.

Am I missing something?

How can I unwedge the end when the portal didn't spawn after killing the dragon?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:53 AM PDT

Our* server world has glitched out. The ender dragon is dead, but the end portal, the far portal, and the egg didn't spawn and the dragon's (full) HP bar still shows.

How can I unwedge the end? There's been a lot of construction already (before the dragon was ever killed) and I would rather not reset the map.

* Yes, I have console access.

Do Nintendo Switch cartridge games get the same updates as digital versions?

Will accepting Udom's quests on Groundbreaker lock me out of the best ending?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 11:27 PM PDT

I am on my first playthrough of the game, and there's a decision you have to make pretty early on — turning in Phineas Welles to the Halcyon authorities. Specifically, on Groundbreaker, while speaking to Udom, you have the option to turn in Welles.

Now, I have read a few playthroughs (Polygon, GamerGuides, VG247 etc) that explain that The Board's and Welles' quest chains run parallel, and you can complete both quest chains if you so choose. But this is in terms of min/maxing experience.

None of them have mentioned, or I have yet to come across, what happens if you accept Udom's quest on Groundbreaker. Will accepting Udom's quests on Groundbreaker lock me out of the best ending?

EDIT: Best ending, I mean as in RPG tropes, the good/evil endings. I think the Welles ending is the good ending, whereas the Board ending is the evil ending. And with the low intelligence ending, I consider the Welles ending as the best ending.

How do I determine whether my pokemon scales with physical or special damage?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:14 AM PDT

How do I determine whether my pokemon scales with physical or special damage?

It seems like neither type, range/melee, roles, nor colour on moves indicates the scaling of each pokemon's attack.

I have done some testing individually, but I see no pattern nor information that the game provides in an accessible spot - am I missing something?

How can you be immune to damage from bed explosions in the nether/end?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 02:28 PM PDT

In Minecraft, everyone seems to able to use beds for mining or killing the Ender Dragon, but whenever I use it I blow up instantly.

Is this a bug, or how can I be immune to this damage?

What was this sound in Minecraft?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 01:41 PM PDT

I was watching YouTube and this noise came up in one of DanTDM's videos (at 3:44). Does anybody know what it is?

It got me really creeped out. Is it just Dan trying to scare us? Can it happen in my Minecraft worlds?

How do you change a boss bar in minecraft by a certain value instead of directly

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 09:54 PM PDT

I can't find it anywhere on the internet, but all I want to do is change a boss bar by a certain amount, instead of directly changing it with the value sub command. Is there a way to simply add an amount to the existing value? ie. Add 1 to bossbar, instead of set bossbar to 2.

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller acts as a mouse instead of a gamepad on PC?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 02:42 PM PDT

I have switched from playing Fortnite on my Switch to PC. I have to use my controller wired because my PC doesn't support BlueTooth.

However, I've got a problem: when I use my controller, my PC reads my inputs as mouse inputs. For example if I move my joystick around, it moves the cursor. I have watched dozens of videos on YouTube but none of them helped and because I played with my Steam settings, the problem has gotten worse.

Does anybody know how to reset Steam settings or how I can solve my problem?

What block is the slowest to break with pickaxe?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 10:04 PM PDT

All the entries in the wiki etc focus on breaking speed of blocks using 'the right tool', and I couldn't find anything about breaking blocks with 'wrong tool'. And I'm wondering what is the slowest block to mine with pickaxe obtainable legally in survival.

My last concrete making session ended up with a big hole in the 'concrete maker' as I was afk'ing using my diamond pickaxe (with mending enchantment) and missed the moment concrete ran out. Within range of a beacon set to Haste 2, the pickaxe chewed through the obsidian back of the concrete maker in matter of moments and proceeded to punch a hole in the wall of my super-smelter that happened to be behind that wall.

Are there any other materials more resistant to pickaxe than obsidian? I mean, at this point it seems like wool takes longer, but I'm not sure. I'm almost feeling like putting a nametagged zombie behind the obsidian, that would take a while to break with a pick.

How to give a player an item if their level is of a certain minimum value, and make sure that they only have one of these items at a time?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 10:01 PM PDT

I would like to accomplish this using a single command in a command block that is set to repeat, and I'd like to avoid using the scoreboard. I'm looking to check whether or not the player's level is above Lv.15, and if so, give them a tripwire hook named "15EXP Key". I'd also like to make sure they only have one of these keys at a time, so as to encourage using them before acquiring any more experience. I had tried this, but it didn't work how I had expected it to:

/execute unless entity @a[nbt={Inventory:[{id:"minecraft:tripwire_hook"}]}] run give @a[level=15..] minecraft:tripwire_hook{Name:"15EXP Key"} 1

Moreover, this command will be used in an area with multiple nearby players, and I'd like it to only apply to players in a certain specified area, but I have no idea how to do that. Also, it should apply to those players individually so that if one player has the required levels and the other does not, the player with the right level should receive the item but the other should not.

Does anything happen if I light all the lanterns with blue flame?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 09:04 PM PDT

In Breath of the Wild, there are two "Tech Labs". Upon arriving, both give you a mini-quest to light the furnace outside the lab with a "blue flame".

Along the path, when carrying the lit torch, there are stone lanterns you can light with the blue flame (presumably as a "checkpoint" for when it may start to rain).

Do these lanterns serve any other purpose? I.e. will anything happen if I light them all, as some puzzles did in older Zelda games?

Missed out on becoming a vampire lord, can I still become one?

Posted: 24 Oct 2021 09:55 PM PDT

I never became a vampire lord, killed Harkon I think his name was, and cured Serana. Is there anyway I can become a vampire lord?

I'm playing on the Xbox 360.

Can I sort my Steam games by installed size?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:33 AM PDT

Apparently my puny hard drive can't handle the awesomeness of Payday 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and Fallout: New Vegas all being installed on my hard disk at the same time.

I spent all my money buying Payday, XCOM and New Vegas so now I can't afford a bigger hard drive. I need to uninstall some of my old games to make room.

Is there a way to sort my Steam games by size on disk? I would prefer to only remove one game rather than several.

How to speed up your movement in counter strike?

Posted: 25 Oct 2021 04:45 AM PDT

I watched other players with some good skills: They move and shoot and their movement is so quick, that I can't aim on them. Can someone please confirm as to how I can move equally as fast?
