| How do I bind a command to an item? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 08:46 PM PDT I am trying to create a few modified weapons/items in Minecraft, so that when you hit something (left click) with the specific item, it executes a command. I have already found a few answers that make it so that if you use a specific item it executes a command, but that applies for every single one of that item; for example, if a blaze rod gives you strength, every blaze rod in the game will give you strength. Is there a way to do this with only one item? |
| Do Nintendo 64 motherboards fit in any revision N64 case? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 07:35 PM PDT I have an original launch Nintendo 64 that I took good care of over the past 25 years, but alas exhibits the random reset issue. I narrowed the issue down the to motherboard. Newer revision motherboards are allegedly more reliable. If I get a newer revision motherboard (e.g. CPU-08 or CPU-09), can I drop it into a launch day revision N64? My concern is some screw positioning or a variation of the metal shroud will prevent it from seating correctly. |

| Is it possible to play Game Pass for PC games without a gaming PC? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 02:23 PM PDT I have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription which I enjoy on my console, but I'm getting some FOMO from looking at the dozens of Game Pass for PC games that aren't available on consoles (e.g. strategy games such as Iron Harvest) which I have "access" to via that subscription, but can't play, since I don't currently own a PC with a real GPU. Xbox Cloud Gaming offers a way to stream console games to PC, but I'm trying to figure out whether there's something I could use to go the other way - is there any way I could stream those Game Pass for PC games to an Xbox console, a weak PC or some TV dongle? It would have been nice if I could use something like GeForce Now, but I couldn't find any such service that offers access to Game Pass. The only thing I could find is the option of setting up a cloud instance, like this NVIDIA Gaming PC - Windows Server 2019 AWS AMI, but that seems to be both too expensive and too much hassle for my taste - essentially being the same as having to manage a gaming PC. Any other suggestions? |
| Why aren't Wii games readable, even with a different disk? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 01:09 PM PDT I have a Wii mini console that no longer will play our most-played games, like Mario Galaxy 1, 2, and Mario Kart. It will however still play games I never played, like Paintball. I purchased a new copy of Mario Kart, thinking the issue was the older disk being scratched, but even the newer disk without scratches returns errors. Is there possibly some other reason and a fix for why these disks can't be read? |
| Posted: 15 Oct 2021 10:53 AM PDT I want to use Skyclient (for Hypixel skyblock). But I couldn't use it on MultiMC. Most of the tutorials is for Mojang launcher but I can't use modpacks for it properly. Is there a way for Skyclient in MultiMC? If it isn't possible, is there a launcher that good for modpacks and Skyclient. If there isn't, can I use MultiMC and Mojang launcher in same PC? |
| How to make blocks appear under your feet when you walk/jump? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 07:04 PM PDT Is there anyway to make blocks appear under your feet wherever you walk or jump? I there a way to make them disappear after like 20 seconds? |

| Why is reading/writing memory cards slow in PS1 emulators? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 06:55 AM PDT Speed of flash memory and other storage has improved quite a bit since the PS1 days—and now some emulators can provide higher-than-native reading speeds when loading a 'CD' in a game (e.g. PS Vita's built-in PSPEMU can do this). However, somehow this hasn't affected the speeds of reading or writing a PS1 memory card, in all emulators that I've used. Detecting a memory card is slow, writing it is slow, reading it is slow—even when the game clearly doesn't reload the game world but just reads a few numbers. Considering the minuscule size of PS1 saves by modern standards, they should be read or written in moments. I'm curious: what limits the speed of PS1 memory cards in emulators? It vaguely seems like games are doing some low-level electronics with the cards, instead of delegating to the console's API—so the emulator has to preserve the original timings and can't hijack the goings-on with a faster approach. If this is the reason, then how widespread was this method of talking to storage, in those days? And was it carried into the PS2 generation or later on? |
| Under what conditions do Ender Pearls despawn? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 05:59 PM PDT I use long-term Ender Pearl stasis on a server that I frequent as a sort of fast travel. A chamber has been failing on me lately, leading to a rather lengthy trek each time. This leads to the question. Under what precise conditions will an ender pearl disappear without teleporting the thrower? The player being offline is an obvious one - are there any others? |
| How to apply potion effects only in a certain radius, without applying it to yourself? Posted: 16 Oct 2021 01:59 AM PDT I'm trying to apply potion effects to mobs in a certain radius of me without applying it to myself as well, is this possible to do with the current state of commands in Minecraft 1.17? |
| How to test when a team "wins" a minigame in Minecraft Posted: 15 Oct 2021 06:02 PM PDT I am making a Battle Royale-type map in Minecraft 1.17, and trying to detect when there is only one person alive (in adventure mode) left. Currently, I have commands to put people in spectator mode on death, and to set their score of "Alive" (z scoreboard objective) to 0 when they die. I have searched for hours, but all the solutions either don't apply to me, or use I would love to accomplish this using scoreboard objectives or teams (preferably scores) by detecting when there is only one player with an Alive score of one, or only one player on the Alive team. There is not a set number of people who will be playing this at any given time, and there is also a "Duos" mode if anyone wants to tackle that as well. Also, I really do not want to write (another) datapack to do this and want to use only command blocks. Sorry if this limits some of you. If there is a (really easy) way to do this with a datapack functions and you can almost do it for me, I would accept that, but I am trying to steer clear of it. Basically, to recap, I need to detect when someone "wins". This means when there is only one player left in adventure mode. (Or one team, if you're going to help me with that too. That would be amazing.) I now have a fake player named "Players" for the scoreboard objective "Alive", and it displays the number of people in adventure mode in the sidebar using the command: I now have a way to detect when ONE person wins, (just changed adventure to |
| Can I transfer my trinkets from my weapons to the ones I find in the field? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 11:57 PM PDT I just found a new weapon that I want to swap with my current weapon. My current weapon currently has some trinkets attached to it. Can I take my trinkets off my current weapon and transfer to the new weapon so I can keep it all? Or do I have to leave my trinkets behind? |
| Does Nekros’ shadows of the dead damage increase based on the level of the shadows? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 10:03 AM PDT For example, you kill 7 level 80 grinder lancers, and then use shadows of the dead. Is the only thing that can increase damage ability strength mods? Or does the damage also increase based on the levels of the shadows? I am not really sure how the ability works so could somebody give me an explanation? Thanks. |
| Are the contents of Hextech/Masterwork Chests determined at acquisition or when opened? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 01:10 PM PDT If there's a skin that isn't on live servers yet, and I have several unopened chests, is it possible for me to unbox that skin once it releases to live, using boxes that I obtained before the skin release? |
| How does the Electro Dragon's lightning chain work? Posted: 16 Oct 2021 01:55 AM PDT How does the Electro Dragon chain is drawn over the buildings? Does it have a pattern? There's no much strategy if you span a bunch of dragons, but having one in the castle clan for a specific reason requires more accuracy. |
| Dwarf Fortress: Work Order condition tied to amount of dye Posted: 15 Oct 2021 09:08 AM PDT How do I make a mill-plants work order tied to the amount of dye? e.g. a mill plants work order on a quern that activates only when the amount of dimple dye drops below 10. I'm using the DFHack workshop profile function. One combination that does not work is:
The phrase on the screen after setting these conditions is Amount of dye dimple dye available is less than 10 . Satisfied for next check even though I have hundreds of units of dimple dye in a few dozen bags. Thanks! |
| Escape from Monkey Island - "ScummVM could not find any game in the specified directory!" Posted: 15 Oct 2021 06:00 PM PDT I tried to get Monkey Island 4 running using ScummVM, but it always claims that there is no game:

| Fastest cavalry unit in Bannerlord Posted: 15 Oct 2021 11:08 PM PDT In Bannerlord, what cavalry unit moves the fastest in a battle over perfectly flat terrain with time to get to its full speed, also, which calvalry unit moves fastest on the map? (If there even is a speed discrepancy between different cavalry units on the mao) Note: I am only counting units that aren't companions, lords, the player, or the players family. |
| How do I buy a PSN gift card for a friend in another continent? Posted: 16 Oct 2021 01:04 AM PDT I don't have a PS4 console or PSN account but since you can't gift games directly I want to gift my friend a gift card. They live in Asia and I live in North America. | Specific server not responding specifically for me Posted: 15 Oct 2021 03:02 PM PDT There are a few community servers, in specific three from the same host, that I want to connect to badly but the game always says "Server not responding". I'm not banned from them and everyone else can connect just fine. But I just can't do it. Someone told me to try and connect to the server through Steam's server list in the "View" option, but it shows the same message ("Server not responding"). I've already tried turning off the Firewall. Verifying the game's integrity. Reinstalling the game. Setting launch option and typing the I really only want to join the IP Looking around I've only found one other person with this problem, on a post from 2 years ago, and there wasn't any mention on how to fix this. |
| What is the level cap in Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 11:02 AM PDT The level cap for Final Fantasy XV was increased from 99 to 120 post launch. Was this change carried over to Pocket Edition or is the level cap still 99 in that game? Also, is the level cap even reachable due to the reduced scope of the game? |
| What is the port range for Minecraft LAN worlds? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 01:20 PM PDT When I want to invite my friends over the internet into my LAN world in Minecraft, I need to set my router to forward the port specified by Minecraft. As Mincraft picks a different port each time I open my world over LAN, I have to edit my router settings every time I want to start a multiplayer LAN session over the internet. Instead, I would like to set the router to the range of port numbers that Minecraft picks from. What is the range of ports that Minecraft uses for LAN worlds? So far, after four sessions, I have had ports between 49525 and 50852. I play the Java edition, if that makes any difference. Alternatively: The port range must be coded into the Minecraft code. What file(s) would I look at to find it? |

| When exactly does Drippy use his "Tidy Tears" ability? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 12:03 PM PDT It seems to normally occur when a hero loses consciousness and/or the our heroes' health is really low. | What exactly happens when you change your 3DS region? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 03:21 PM PDT In the 3DS' System settings app, you can try to change your region settings (Country and State/Region). If you attempt to do this, though, a warning is displayed which basically says anything related to the e-Shop won't work any more. Here's the warning:
My question is, what exactly will happen if I change that region? Will my 3DS be "disconnected" from my Nintendo Network ID, will my downloaded content disappear/be uninstalled, will I be able to create a new Nintendo Network ID? Will I be able to restore the previous state and connection to my Network ID by changing back to the original region? Note that this is not about the market region as in region-lock. This is about the thing you enter when you create your profile for the first time. |
