Is there a common file format and tools for those cheap 60-in-1 NES emulators?

A few months back I purchased one of those cheap 60-in-1 NES emulators that output to HDMI for the purpose of my car's rear entertainment system (GameGnu I think the brand is). I realized the other day that there is a small 128MB microSD card that pops out; I figure that I might be able to take advantage of this to load other games on it.

Unfortunately, it isn't simply an XML/CSV/JSON file to describe with .CRT/ROM files to go along with it. Actually, looking in the .bin files I do see, they even have Photoshop / Adobe CS XML signatures in it (???). But menu files seem to be .OCV and .LOG files, and game files seem to be a combination of .BIN and .ASD files.

Does this format sound familiar to anyone? More specifically, are there tools to change out what the games are? It would be cool to add more to this device especially since the 128MB card is only half full.

Looking for the name of a free game where there are fighters made of cubes [closed]

I'm looking for the name of a free PC game I played in 2006 that consists of a fighter (human player) made of cubes in the shape of a human being in the middle of a ring and you have to defeat other NPCs (likewise beings composed of cubes). If I remember correctly, the game was developed in a university.

I need to know the name of the game to play it again and to study its source code if it is available.

Button mapping for PC-Engine on Fightcade2

I am using Fightcade 2 to try playing retro arcade games

One of those games is a PC-Engine / TurboGrafx-16 game

I am using a Nintendo Switch gamepad with Fightcade

For some NeoGeo games, the button mapping window is very specific, like P1 LightPunch, P1 LightKick or something like that for Street Fighter 3rd Strike for example

But for this game in particular, it just says: P1 Button 1, P1 Button 2, P1 Button 3 and so on

The mapping on the start and select buttons work just fine as I can pause in game, but my mappings for the six action buttons, it seems like it doesn't as only the mappings to Button 1 and Button 2 are responding, but my character seem to do the same thing whether I press the one or the other: a heavy kick

I already tried to remap the controls with different buttons but the same problem occurs

I have not tried mapping on the keyboard yet

How does the Onusa weapon work?

I was playing The Wind and Wilting Blossom, and I obtained an unusual weapon which I can't figure out. It's called the Onusa. Unfortunately, I sold the weapon out of frustration, and can't therefore provide screenshots.

The weapon was obtained in one of the story vignettes upon entering a new area. It looked like it might be cursed, but after picking it up, it shone radiant light and repulsed the darkness.

The targeting symbols on the weapon show green hexagons all around the player, and it says that it has "range 1" and "absorb 1 damage". I wasn't sure what that meant. I thought that maybe it would do a life leech effect, damaging all adjacent creatures and healing the user. I tried it in a battle, adjacent to an enemy, but all it did was damage the user. It did nothing to the enemy.

I realized that the hexagons on the targeting symbols for other weapons are usually red, so maybe the green hexagons meant that it targets allies. I decided that, maybe, it would heal adjacent allies and damage the user. I tried having a couple injured allies stand next to the user, and activated it. It damaged all of them.

I tried searching for information online, but found almost nothing. All I found were these patch notes, which simply say

Reworked the Onusa Weapon to be a 1 range point blank AOE with 1 damage absorption

which is not helpful.

This weapon appears to have no function beyond damaging the user and their allies. Does it do anything beneficial at all? How am I supposed to use it?

My hardcore Minecraft world is gone

Last night I got off of my hardcore world and shut off my pc. This morning while waiting for my laundry to cycle I figured I'd kill time by playing it but when I went to load in it was gone. I have had something like this happen before so I wasn't worried, I figured I'd just reload to the last save something must of gotten corrupted. To my horror there are no previous versions I can back it up too :(
What can I do?

Can you still earn the ender dragon achievement in peaceful mode on PS4?

Mode: Survival, Peaceful; never has been set to Creative

Background:

  • Other achievements can be earned on peaceful mode (example: the wool achievement)
  • No achievements can be earned on creative mode or a save file previously set to creative at any point

Question: Will you get the ender dragon achievement if you kill it on peaceful mode? (Has never been set to creative)

I remember playing a game one day at my friend's dad's Macintosh computer in the early to mid 1990s.

I vividly remember the scene/mini-game where you were throwing knives at a spinning blindfolded lady, as well as the part where you are supposed to jump from a tall height into a little container of water.

Everything points at this being Fiendish Freddy's Big Top O' Fun... except for the fact that every source I can find has no mention of a port for Macintosh. Tons of other platforms, but not Macintosh. So it could not have been that... Unless he had some sort of DOS emulator or something, but I seem to remember it being muted and feeling very Macintosh-y, rather than DOS-ish. And they weren't really "tech" people. So that also seems unlikely.

Was there some similar game like this, for Macs?

My friend and I shoot our project through the RockStar editor, and sometimes when shooting a video, it becomes necessary to change the weather (because, for example, the weather is clear, but according to the scenario, rain is needed), set the model of a policeman as a controllable character (for the role of a policeman) and others opportunities.

Can you make Ender Crystals do less damage?

I have been trying to find a way around Ender Crystal damage in my map I have been making. I want to make the Ender Crystals do less damage while keeping the overall player damage the same.
My first workaround involved using resistance against the Ender Crystals, then cancelling the resistance out for regular player damage by giving strength, however it seems that any resistance level above 5 makes the player invincible.

Is there a way to make Ender Crystals do less damage?

The first time I saw the term farming in a videogame context was bonewall farming / "bonefarming" in Diablo 2. It makes sense in this case since you "plant" a bonewall then "harvest" items, as opposed to more common use these days where you just kill enemies.

This is the earliest I remember personally seeing the term. But is it older?

I am having input issues on Minecraft 1.13 and up. Pressing ANY key that is mapped in the keybindings and spacebar simultaneously prevents jumping.

This problem happens only on Linux AFAIK, I tried many versions and found out that this issue appears on the snapshot 17w43a.

I do not believe this is an issue with my keyboard as the input works just fine on Windows (dual boot). I've had this issue on every Linux distribution, currently on Arch.

In Valorant you can damage your teammates (and take damage from them) using abilities (but not weapons). But it looks like friendly fire deals less damage (compared to the damage the enemies receive). Is that the case, and if so whats the damage reduction ratio?

I'm making a server full of mini-games, and I'm running into small problems on specific games. I got everything set up except for this issue:

In racing games, I'm having trouble teleporting the winner (or top 3, I know how to place them) to a "podium": I don't know how to let the game know how many players there are, and teleport the winners into one area and everybody else into another.

I was making my own texture pack and I fell into a problem. I was changing the texture pack of the diamond armor, and then I wanted it to have transparency so I went to GIMP(a photo editing software) and made this enter image description here

I replaced the old texture with the new one. then I made the texture pack and added it to Minecraft. nowhere is the problem, when I wear the diamond armor the transparency doesn't work and you can still see the diamond armor under it enter image description here

Why does city tax value differ between title screen and county screen?

First image shows that income tax for city Dioclea is 6.85 while second screen shows a value of 6.22.

I was able to calculate city tax value using the formula provided in the wiki and I got value of 6.22.

Also the values differ for other cities as well but I noticed the difference between these two values is small.

Why is there a difference between the two screens?

I connected Discord to my Xbox Live account and I played a game. I stopped playing, later disconnected my Xbox Live account from Discord, and it still says I'm playing the game I was playing even though I wasn't even on the Xbox. It said I was playing a certain game for 22 hours, and I can't turn it off. I have the Discord mobile app, and my friend took it off. Later I went back on that game and the same thing happened. How do I fix this?

Guitar Hero Live controller issue on pc

I recently bought a Guitar Hero Live guitar controller included with the PS3 game. I also have Frets on Fire installed on my PC, so I thought I was able to play with that guitar with no problems.

But there is a problem (of course) and it's pretty huge: I cannot strum and press a note at the same time. I know it's not a hardware-related problem, because my PC recognizes the input from every button/strum bar, but not if done at the same time.

Is there a workaround, some drivers to install or is it impossible to use the Guitar Hero Live guitar for PS3 on PC?

How can I effectively "sentry jump" with the wrangler?

Now that the wrangler has been introduced to the engineer, the engineer can get to places previously unreachable. Is it possible to get propelled upward with just the gun from the sentry to take less damage? If rockets are used, is it possible to pick up the sentry immediately after rocket launch, so that you can take the sentry with you on the jump? What other tips do you have?
