Are Feather Teasers used for all mounts?

Posted: 26 May 2022 09:54 AM PDT

I've only unlocked the Catarumpus mount so far, and I have quite a few Feather Teasers, the material used for training it. However, I'd rather not use them all if this same resource is going to be needed to train another mount. So, do multiple mounts use the same upgrading resource?

Seed generates a completely different world on the same version

Posted: 26 May 2022 08:51 AM PDT

I have a Minecraft world that I was playing on with my friend in January 2021. The world was originally created on 1.16.4 on a Minecraft server. There were no mods nor plugins that were changing the world generation, it was a pure normal minecraft world. The state of the world right now is pretty... uhh... covered with things, and I wanted to see how the world looked like in the beginning.

The problem is that the seed from the world generates a completely different world than the original world that I have. The world was updated thrice from 1.16.4 to 1.16.5, then from 1.16.5 to 1.17.1, and then from 1.17.1 to 1.18.2. I installed one mod to the server once, that just made the Ender Dragon drop more loot, but other than that it didn't change anything.

The interesting thing is that I also have a second world that I made with my friend too, it was a whole separate world though with different terrain and things. I typed the /seed command on that world too on the version that it was created on, and it gave me the SAME seed that the first world gave me, but the seed also doesn't create the world that is the same as the second world.

I know this is confusing, but to sum it up: both worlds create the same seed that doesn't generate any of these two worlds on the same versions they were created in.

Does anyone perhaps know why that happens and how to fix it?

What is the name of this 1980s game, like Commando but with cars? [closed]

There was an arcade game around '86-88, where you were a soldier on foot, a bit like Commando, but you could also jump into a chubby little car (not tank) and drive around fighting the enemies, then get out again, or if your car was destroyed, you could fight on foot. IIRC, the enemies also drive these cars, which you could take if yours had been destroyed. I recall that I was amazed by how the car sprite had many angles of rotation, at least 16, making it look like it could rotate smoothly, not like many clunky 4- or 8-directional sprites of that period.

It was a multi-directional(?) top-down smooth scroller, which was quite unusual for the time. The graphics were good for the time, chunky, well-outlined and shaded, a bit like the Bitmap Brothers and Core Design stuff of that period. But I have the feeling it wasn't a Western game.

Really wish I could take a screenshot of what's in my mind.

Any memories of this?

How do I become Grand Duke in the Battle Chateau in Pokémon Y?

Posted: 26 May 2022 09:51 AM PDT

So I became Duke in the Battle Chateau, battled all trainers, including Gym Leaders and the Elite Four (I know for sure since I kept track of it, taking the list and crossing off every trainer after I defeated one until I had them all), became the Champion, tried leaving and re-entering and I still didn't become Grand Duke. What should I do?

How does "proficiency" work in Borderlands?

Posted: 26 May 2022 08:47 AM PDT

While playing Borderlands sometimes I receive the message:

Your proficiency with weapon <XXX> has increased to level X.

I have some questions about proficiency:

  1. How many kills do you need to increase a proficiency level by 1? Or does it use another mechanism (e.g. assists, total shots)?
  2. Can I see which is the level of proficiency for each weapon class?
  3. Can I see where I am and what I need to reach the next level?
  4. More important: which bonuses grants proficiency? Are the same for each weapon or are specific to weapon class?
