Mobs and NPCs are completely black

I play a lot of Minecraft and I'm having a problem with Minecraft version 1.7.10.
Whenever I hold an item in my hand, my screen starts to glitch and turns a bunch of different colors. This happens when I look at an NPC, too. Also all mobs and NPCs are completely black.

Is there a bedrock equivalent to Java double carpets?

In Minecraft Java Edition, doubled carpets block villager pathfinding, including searching for job blocks.

In Bedrock, where pathfinding is notoriously bad and villagers can connect to job blocks that they can't physically reach, is there a way to block their pathfinding like this?

Two PS store accounts with same priviledges, but cannot buy game on one of them

I'm trying to buy The Elder Scrolls 5 on my son's account which has no restrictions set. I can find the game in the PS store under my account, but not on his.

We have a PS4 with my account as primary and his as secondary. We do not have PS Plus, but I don't see why that would matter - with no restrictions we should both have access to all the games.

I downloaded a big game on game jolt, but my pc could not run it, like the game would crash and close, and I'm not sure what happened but when I try to uninstall it it says the package is running even though it's not, could someone help me fix this?

I'm trying to test if a player has an item named Sunny and for it to reset a shulker box (If you could include the shulker box having a torch named sunny that would be very much appreciated

The command I tried was this:

execute if entity @p[nbt={Items:[{id:"!minecraft:torch"}]},display:{Name:'{"text":"Sunny"}'}] run setblock ~ ~2 ~ minecraft:blue_shulker_box

But it saied display option was... not an option

Do Reflex skills that affect "rifles and SMG" affet sniper/precison rifles?

The "Assault" branch in the "Reflex" skill tree has lots of skills that affect "rifles and submachine guns". For example:

Bullet Jock (Passive) [3 levels]: Increases damage with Rifles and Submachine Guns by 3% (at level 1).
Eagle Eye (Passive) [3 levels]: Reduces time to aim down sight with Rifles and Submachine Guns by 10%.
Executioner (Passive) [1 level]: Deal 25% more damage with Rifles and Submachine Guns to enemies whose Health is above 50%.

There is ONE perk that mentions sniper rifles and precision rifles:

Nerves of Steel (Passive) [2 levels] {Requires Level 11 Reflexes}: Increases headshot damage with Sniper Rifles and Precision Rifles by 20% (at level 1)

Also, there is one that specifies only assault rifles:

Feel the Flow (Passive) [2 levels] {Requires Level 11 Reflexes}: Reduces reload time for Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns by 10%.

So, maybe it is a silly question, but do all perks that mention only the word "rifle" work with all types of rifles (assault/precision/sniper)?

(MSFS2020) Why does my trim keep snapping to maximum-up whenever I open the main menu?

Just installed MSFS2020, and got a Thrustmaster 16000 HOTAS + rudder pedals.

Hopped into the Mount Everest discovery flight to see what calibration I needed to make to the controls.

The instant the simulation begins, the nose pitched straight up into the vertical, and stall warning started going off. After a bit of wrestling with the stick I realized the trim was maxed out in the "up" direction. I mashed the trim down button until I was able to get the thing stabilized. Weird but... okay.

I didn't like where my landing gear toggle was bound, so I hit ESC and changed that control binding to be where I wanted it.

The instant I return to the simulation from the Main Menu, the plane pitches up exactly like before - and lo, the trim is maxed out in the "up direction" again. I wrestle it back down again, and so on.

Every. Single. Time. I press the Escape key to bring up the menu, even if I make no changes, the moment the menu closes, the trim snaps to the maximum-up position and has to be wrestled down.

I've tried searching everywhere I can, but aside from a months-old posting on the MSFS 2020 official forums where someone is apparently having the same issue, I can't find discussion of this let alone steps to fix. How do I troubleshoot this?

Running on Windows 10, via Steam, issue began with all settings at default - including the control mapping for the HOTAS.

On the Xbox S in the browser Microsoft Edge (there is unfortunately no other browser) I browse my Nextcloud Web UI from time to time.

How can I increase the resolution to 4k or at least 1080p? In games 4k is no problem at all.

Is there a higher resolution on Xbox X? Are there any hardware limitations? What is the reason for the low resolution as default?

How to force install a Demo version of game you already own in Steam?

Is it possible to force install the Demo version of a game, for which you already have a full version in Steam?

The reason I want to install a demo is that I want to use it for tests. Like for example, comparing performance with different Vulkan implementations for AMD GPU. And the full game takes significant space on my SSD and I do not want to keep it.

When I go to the game page, and press "install demo", the installer still wants to install the full game (you can see it asks where to install and the required size is big for full version).

StarTropics NES - Chapter 4 - Frequency Code?

In the NES Game, StarTropics, in Chapter 4 - right after you escape the whale with Baboo, Nav-Com tells you to "Input Frequency!!":

There does not seem to be any indication in the game for what the frequency should be.

The only clues come from Baboo's recalling of Dr. J's last words, "Tell Mike to dip my letter in water..." - complete with a "Do you understand?" prompt. If you say you don't understand, he tells you that "Dr. J sent you a letter with a map of C-Island a few weeks ago!"

Then, if you enter the wrong frequency, Nav-Com tells you to "put water on Dr. J's letter in the instruction booklet." Is that referring to the printed instruction manual that originally came with the game? I do not have a copy of the instruction manual, so is there a way to figure out the frequency to enter from within the game?

Is there some way to get a messages format for Minecraft server, if I'm not a owner this server?

I'm trying to understand what the format is to extract from a chat line: receiver nickname, sender nickname, message, rank and etc.

For example, in the server cubecraft.net

  • [CHAT] :Stone: SomeNickName: SomeNickName2 hello

Color code lang.eng file in Minecraft

I'm making my own texture pack in Minecraft and was playing around with the lang.eng file to change the text color for items/menu and so on.

I came up with a problem I am having: let's say I want to change color for the render distance setting for chunks, I can change the title names color but the number for the chunks I select doesn't change.

How do I change the color of %s tho I assume that is the string after the name for the numbers?

I'm a werewolf but suddenly the game gave me vampire powers

I am a werewolf, and I finished the Dawngaurd DLC a while ago.
But as I was going through a ruin my game started giving me notifications as if I am a vampire. I never got notified that I contracted the disease and my eyes don't glow but now my blood boils in the sunlight and I have vampire's seduction and vampires thrall. I can still transform into a werewolf and if I go into the game stats and look at the "days as a vampire" stat it never changes even as several days have gone by.
I've tried to trigger the rising at dawn quest by talking to Fallion and there isn't even an opportunity. I've also used a cure disease potion as soon as I noticed the sunlight thing and when that didn't work I tried using the shrine of Talos in Whiterun...

Is there any saving this or am I just screwed? Has anyone else had this problem? Will it impact my save data?

Minecraft world backup - How do I find builds easily?

I have a backup of my server which was recently hacked. I have lots of builds there; the main problem is that all the builds in that world backup are scattered which makes them very hard to find.

How can I convert it to a world map from which I can find my builds easily and continue my work? Is there a tool or mod which can allow this?

The nature of main quest-line in Cyberpunk 2077 compels you to finish it as soon as possible and ignore various side-quests.

However, when playing open world RPG, such approach will generally make you miss big parts of content.

Is there actually penalty in main-quest for taking too much time? Or is the pressure only story device without any real effect?

I am grinding emeralds to save up for some mending books from a librarian villager. However, it costs 38 emeralds (the most expensive price for an enchanted book), and I am having trouble getting emeralds to save up for them (~10 minutes per emerald). I have several novice villagers; I just set up my villager trading hall:

  • Novice Weaponsmith: Default Novice trades
  • Apprentice Toolsmith: 15 Coal for 1 Emerald, 1 Emerald for Stone Axe + Default Apprentice trades
  • Novice Farmer: 20 Wheat for 1 Emerald, 1 Emerald for 6 Bread
  • Novice Armorer: 15 Coal for 1 Emerald, 5 Emeralds for Iron Helmet
  • Novice Librarian: 24 Paper for 1 Emerald, 38 Emerald + 1 book for 1 Mending book (target)

Which villager should I farm-trade with, and if none of those are preferable, other villagers can be used as well.

Minecraft worlds on iPad have disappeared

My son uses Minecraft on his iPad. He has a lot of worlds. All of a sudden all of those worlds are gone. When I go to storage on the iPad I see the size of the game is 4 gigs, the worlds are still there they just won't show up when you go into the game to play. He is using 1.16. I did offload them all and reinstalled. Same result. No worlds.

Merchant 42750 gold bug in Skyrim

I've experienced a bug with multiple merchants in Skyrim. If you get the merchant above 42750 gold, say, with training, you'll run into a problem when you sell to them. After the merchant's gold is reduced to 42750, you'll no longer gain any gold from selling to them. They will still take your item, and no warning prompt is given.

I've experienced this bug with both Florentius and Tolfdir. Someone else has experienced this with Babette.

On that thread, someone mentioned that merchants get bugged once they go above 30k gold.

I already have unofficial legendary edition patch. So I wish to ask the following questions.

  1. Does this apply to all merchants?

  2. Do the merchants break above 30k gold, or above 42750 gold?

  3. Why does this occur?

  4. Can this be fixed?

  5. Are there anything else I should be careful about when dealing with merchants?

Minecraft Color Codes Problem (1.9)

Introduction to my problem

As most of you know, the section sign, aka ยง is used to add color formatting. But the inconvenient thing is that you can't use the sign in command blocks, only in console commands. That really really is annoying, since it leaves out so many features in vanilla minecraft.

About my map, just if you wanna read :)

So what I need help with? I'm creating a prison escape map, not just parkour, instead with picklocks, guards, inmates, roll calls, reputation, metal detectors, custom resource packs, secret stashes and many escape possibilities. The part which I have a problem with? Custom-colored items.

I want to give items custom lores with colors (and not that ugly purple italics lore ... eww). Red-colored (eg. knives, drugs, armor & guard keys) items would be contraband and result in solitary when found, orange-colored (eg. bobby pins, plastic knives & sticks) are also illegal, but won't be confiscated, since they are just not detected by guard dogs, guards or metal detectors. While it's illegal to own them, you can carry them without any sort of risk - and green-colored (eg. money, food & leather clothes) are completely legal to own and can be acquired legally.

So, what I need help with?

So, what I need? I need to be able to spawn colored items in the world. Most of the contraband can be traded from other inmates, but for example in the yard, random bobby pins and metal pieces will spawn, but I can't summon colored items (the summoned items have to be colored!). I only found one solution by now, which is to pre-make chests in command block areas, putting an item given thru server console in them, then cloning random chests on top of the yard, breaking them a tick later so that the cloned items get dropped. But that won't work in all areas, also would be really unconvinient if I want to give items to players, for example, for quest completion.

Any ideas? If you know how to help, please reply, it would REALLY help me!

How do I switch it to Hardcore Mode in SMP?

My friends and I want to see if we can set a Minecraft Server to Hardcore mode. What number do you need to set the difficulty option to for Hardcore? e.g. Peaceful = 1, Normal = 2, etc.
