Add tellraw command function to signs Posted: 11 Sep 2021 12:04 AM PDT I was trying to make a map where the signs are empty but talk in chat when you right-click them, but it keeps showing red in the command block and giving the error: Expected '}' at position 135 llraw @p "<--[HERE], this is my code |

My dice are rioting; how do I get them to stop? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 11:00 AM PDT It seems I've made my peasant dice unhappy. Even though they survived the winter (albeit mostly in suspended animation) and some new faces appeared, apparently I rejected their wise proposals at the council, and also lost one or two or three along the way from overwork. Now I'm told that if I don't stop this riot, I'll lose. But how do I stop the riot? |
Is every Genshin Daily special Commissions equaly probable? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 06:19 AM PDT This is just a random idea that came to mind after seeing multiple Youtube players rants about never getting specific commissions. Every day the game gives the player 4 different commissions (normally all located in the same region unless something overrides that). Most of the time the first commission is a special one given by an NPC while the remaining three are "normal" fight monster ones. Some of these commissions cause permanent changes in the world. "Miracle Medicine" ends up with Anna cured, "Urgent Repairs" fixes the staircase at the inn and so on. Obviously they are not repeatable after the final step is completed. Those are also the ones most people want to get, with Miracle Medicine being probably the most sought after. Yet multiple players rant about never getting Miracle Cure even if they started playing when the game launched a year ago. The thing became even more blatant recently after the last patch introduced the ability to choose a region for the commissions, thus theoretically reducing the odds of wasting a day on commissions from unwanted areas. The question is therefore simple: did anyone manage to prove if the special commissions are supposed to be all equally probable or some commissions are indeed much rarer to get? The wiki currently contains the following notices about commissions.
But nothing is said about every commission having the same odds to appear. |
What is the point of Speed-changing moves in Pokemon? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 04:18 AM PDT I've been playing the Pokemon games for many generations (though not much in the competitive/PVP arena). In all that time, I've never quite wrapped my head around the proliferation of moves that either buff your speed or debuff your opponent's -- especially the latter. Obviously a high Speed stat is almost always good; getting the first hit usually means you win the fight. I'm not talking about that. And a move that attacks and buffs/debuffs speed is still an attack, so that's fine. I'm talking specifically about moves that don't do anything except change speed, like Agility or Cotton Spore. I can see a few specific scenarios where it's useful. Setting up for another move that specifically benefits from a Speed differential, like Gyro Ball or similar; being able to (usually) see what move Copycat is going to copy; Baton Passing to a slower teammate. I can see using Agility to set up a sweeper, though taking a turn just to speed up seems like a risky proposition for a glass cannon, and slowing your enemy down isn't really going to accomplish much in that case. Outside of those situations, I can't see how adjusting Speed is useful. If I was acting first anyway, then it's useless, and if I go second and the move changes initiative order, I haven't actually altered anything; we're still basically trading hits. Yet, there are so many speed-modifying moves (which I almost always forget as soon as possible) that I feel like there's something I'm missing. Is there some strategy or method that I'm overlooking here? |
Why are there two different controller setups for Skyrim on different PS3's? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 10:34 AM PDT I have two PS3 controllers and two PS3 systems. When I go to default controller settings, one PS3 system will use the controller's default settings and the other will not. Am I missing something? |

Can't join my friend in mc and he lives in the uk Posted: 10 Sep 2021 07:00 PM PDT My friend in Minecraft can join my world but I can't join his. He tried to invite me, but I don't see the notification pop up. I switched to Android recently and can't see the invite things that used to pop up when I used iOS. What's weird is that my nearby friend can join him, but I can't join my other friend who lives in the UK. How can I join him? |

Does the Personal Refiner have a suggested inventory/slot to be installed? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 06:55 PM PDT Just unlocked the Personal Refiner, and while installing it a note stated that if I place it near the right items I can improve it, or something like that. So, is there a suggested inventory or slot to install the Refiner? Which items make a synergy with it? UPDATE: I managed to find a screenshot of that hint! |
Is it safe to specialize in automatic weapons from the start? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 01:01 PM PDT In Atom RPG, similarly to Fallout 1/2 you have to spend points to advance skills in specific types of weapons. It is not hard to guess, that akin to "energy weapons" (or "big guns") in Fallout, "automatic weapons" in Atom will be most powerful, but in "Fallout", those types of weapons weren't accessible until the mid-late part of the game. So is it safe to start spending points in this skill from the start and ignore all other weapon types? I am currently barely few hours into the game (just "joined" the bandits in the abandoned factory) and the best weapon that I've found is rusty Nagant revolver for which I have barely 5 bullets. Which doesn't matter, because I couldn't hit the wide side of the barn from 2 meters, so instead I rely on good old kicks to the face that surprisingly have 99% chance to hit. How soon can I find even entry-level automatic weapon? |
What is the earliest moment in the game where I can kill Phineas Welles? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 09:20 PM PDT Even though Welles revived me from my eternal slumber, I do not like him in the least and I want to kill him as soon as possible. What is the earliest moment in the game where I can kill Phineas Vernon Welles? I was hoping for his lab but unfortunately he locked himself in a room made of bulletproof glass. |
How do I interact with an Old Tree that is near Otrodnoe? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 09:08 AM PDT South of Otrodnoe on your way to the Bandit Factory there is a fuel Truck. "I get weird vibes from this place" or "It feels as if someone is watching me". I am assuming I need some specific item in my hand... I have already tried eating mushrooms and getting drunk in the area but nothing is happening... How do I progress story here, how do I interact with the tree? |
Killed by something that leaves a crater? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 02:03 PM PDT I'm playing No Man's Sky on PC. I was at my base trying to interact with a portable refiner I left next to a building when suddenly there was a crash and I died. When I respawned, there was no "Killed by XYZ" message, and the spot of my death (about 500 yards away) has an impact crater. My planet is peaceful except for a few spider-looking little aliens. The Sentinels are benign. What could have possibly killed me? I saw and heard nothing when it happened -- no animal or angry sentinel noises, just a boom/crash. The 'shields are down' message flashed at the same time I died, so it was pretty much instantaneous. My only idea was that maybe I was hit by a meteorite, but I've never seen meteorites so far in the game (and Googling doesn't seem to bring up anything for that.) The gamepedia page on Death doesn't list anything relevant either. Here's what the impact crater looked like when I went back to get my stuff. Notice it's under the refiner. |
How close to water do my tomatoes need to be to considered irrigated? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 09:08 PM PDT How close to a water block do my tomatoes need to be to be count as irrigated in Dragon Quest Builders 2? |
MInecraft 1.13 Redstone display issue in Resource Pack Posted: 10 Sep 2021 07:16 PM PDT So far i have got all of the right pieces of redstone displaying, except for when the redstone goes in more than one directions. I've uploaded a picture showing the problem. |
What is the exact walking distance colonists can travel between domes? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 08:07 AM PDT I don't have a shuttle tech but I want to relocate some colonists. One of two domes is on an elevated hill so I'm not sure if a new dome downhill will suffice. What is the exact maximum number of tiles two domes can have between them and still allow migration between them without shuttles? |
How does colonists morale work? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 10:04 AM PDT How does colonists morale work? What affects it? From the beginning of my game, it changed slightly, but nothing major. Even in a new well serviced dome, it seems it doesn't affect the moral. |
How can I drain all the water in the ocean in minecraft? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 02:46 PM PDT I recently had an idea for a video I could make where I show what minecraft looks like when all the water was drained from the ocean. However doing it by normal means would take months to complete. Is there something I could do in mcedit or a command to get rid of all the water in the ocean? |
Problem with Minecraft Skins and Texture packs on multi user Kindle Fire Posted: 10 Sep 2021 08:08 PM PDT My son has a Kindle Fire, which we have set up for multiple users. Mine is an adult account and I manage his child account. He has been using Minecraft PE. This weekend, we downloaded Skins and Texture packs, which appear in my account, but are not available to him in his account. Can anyone help with this? Thanks! |
What is the optimal strategy for 2048? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 12:55 PM PDT I've tried a few approaches, but I just can't make a tile with 2048 |
PS3 issues following YLOD fix -- what now? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 10:12 AM PDT I have a PS3 that recently YLOD'd. I followed djwhetzel's youtube videos to remedy the YLOD. The fix worked, for a couple minutes. Now, the screen goes crazy, showing really bad video, as in something is wrong w/ the video processor. The system locks, and I can only shut it down using the power switch. Anytime I start it back up, it attempts to start, no YLOD/blinking red light, but the video is corrupt and the system is locked (doesn't respond to any input at all, including the power switch). I had already purchased a new PS3, in hopes to pull the data off the YLOD'd one and then trash it. But now I'm not sure I'll even be able to do that. So my questions: 1) Any idea what the new issue is, and if it is fixable? 2) If it is not fixable by me, is it fixable by Sony or some other service? 3) Is there any way I can get my saved data off of there if I'm unable to get the original system to boot? I'm afraid the answer here is "no", but it really drives me crazy that the HD is perfectly fine and my saved data is completely in tact, and I have a perfectly new PS3, with absolutely no way to get the saved data from that HD to my new one. UPDATE: Upon more digging, it sounds like my GPU may be overheating, possibly due to a poor job on my part of applying thermal compound -- is this a possibility? If so, have I permanently fried my GPU, or can I possibly fix this by reapplying the compound? What may I have done wrong to have caused this? |
