| Connect to Minecraft Java (Windows 10) from Macos 10.14.6 Posted: 05 Jun 2021 12:53 AM PDT Any time I try to log in to an open lan world I am now unable to. It was very hit and miss in 1.16 and all the 1.17 snapshots simply do not allow multiplayer between Windows and Mac. I can see the lan world which is running on the windows 10 machine from the mac launcher.

no amount of rebooting works. The mac can PING the windows machine happily. The launch arguments are -Xmx2G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true the windows 10 machine is stock standard. no third party firewalls or antivirus has been installed. No special lan settings have been changed other than when installing the wifi dongle on it I selected that it was connected to a home network. That's it. If I HOST the game on the mac, the Windows machine will NEVER see it on the lan via the launcher. I have to edit in and put in the IP address and PORT. The WINDOWS machine is able to join a game hosted on the MAC. The MAC machine is unable to join a game hosted on WINDOWS. What else can I try, since I want the WINDOWS machine to be the server?  |

Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:06 PM PDT (Asking on behalf of my tech-illiterate friend) I'm able to log into the server, but I can't interact with anything (e.g. place blocks, open chests). After 30 seconds, I'm kicked out with the error message "Connection lost". This has been happening consistently for a week, and only on this specific server. No other players have been affected or have experienced this issue. So far I've tried:

An invisible wall prevents me from jumping towards it and my power slash doesn't work on the ropes. How do I get the hanging treasure chest in Yakushi Village?

The best example was always the TV show "Hugo" were you could control the character with your telephone. He would make comments on the gamers skill and even knock on the screen. Are there examples were game characters would mock the player by telling him to read the manual? Thanks for any hints  |

My objective is to create a health bar above the mob's head, and I was thinking about storing the data in the sign, and then setting the mob's CustomName to the sign Text1.  |
| PS2 disc barely spinning read error Posted: 04 Jun 2021 03:13 PM PDT I recently bought 3 old used ps2 discs, and all of them get the same error. "The disc could not be read." I am using a ps2 slim. Some games work on my ps2, but all of these dont. The only difference I noticed between the ones that work and the ones that dont, is that when i open the disc drive while the disc is reading, the ones that work are spinning fast, and the ones that dont are barely spinning. Is there a way to fix this? (the discs are pretty scratched, but so are some ones that work) Update: I put the disc in my pc, and it was able to read it, not sure if that means its my ps2 thats the problem or not.  |
| Why do the protagonist seem to suddenly understand the people of Facade? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 12:55 PM PDT I find it weird that when you get to Facade, the protagonist can't seem to understand anything people say. But after a major story event, suddenly you seem to be able to understand the residents of facade. But I guess I missed it, because there doesn't seem to be any reason why suddenly you understand them. Its not like you learned their language or they suddenly decided to talk in english (and were just dicks before). Its probably the first option because their captions are between parenteses, which usually denotes that they are speaking in something that is not english, but the protagonist still understands them.  |
| Do the residents of Facade talk in a language that can be understood? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 12:13 PM PDT When you first get to Facade, in game the protagonist can't understand the villagers. But the VO really sounds like Japanese. Thing is, I do not know any japanese, so I can't tell if it is or its just gibberish that sounds like japanese (they probably kept the VO that was created in japanese for them) So is the VO of the residents of facade a language (that if you know that language you may know what they are saying) or is it just gibberish that happens to sound like japanese?  |
| Does hopping have an advantage? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 11:30 AM PDT I've noticed that in the game Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you can make a little hop by pressing 'L' without holding any items. Does hopping help you in any way? If so, how does it help you, and how do you use it? I was wondering if maybe it could also make you go faster if you went off road by accident.  |
| Fallout 4 Fast Travel Unavailable Glitch Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:59 PM PDT I joined the BOS ad destroyed the Institute on top of the big building by pressing the button. I had my power armor so I jumped off the building because I realized I couldn't fast travel on top of that building. When I was on the ground I tried fast traveling to the Prydwen but it still said "Fast travel is currently unavailable in this place". Please help, many thanks. -Youtube videos won't help, there blocked since I use a school computer at home.  |
| How much have I spent in real money on Roblox Posted: 04 Jun 2021 09:36 AM PDT Roblox seem to want to hide away how much I've spent (paid) on the game, or, I do not understand how to traverse the maze of menus. I am trying to learn how much I've spent on both of my daughters. I log into Roblox in my browser, and I click on the Robux symbol. A drop list opens, and I choose the first option (which shows how many Robux remain). This has taken me into My Transactions.
If I review summary, current purchases or purchases, it shows the total number of Robux (which is the name of the currency in the game) I have bought. I do not see how much real money I have spent (in USD$ or GBP£). I can't simply use email receipts because there is no way to know which of my daughters each receipt is for. Is it possible to get this?  |

My question is this: Where did they come from? What inspired the Goomba? It's been in Mario since its start, so what exactly is it, and where did it come from?  |

| BOTW Can I save Yunobo in the Abandoned North Mine without the cannon? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 03:03 PM PDT Context: I am playing a bow only run (I am not picking up or using any swords). I am in the Abandoned North Mine trying to save Yunobo. I know I am supposed to use the cannon to blow up the red rocks to save him; however, because I am not using a sword, I am unable to move the lever for the cannon. I tried using bombs to move the lever, I tried pushing a chest into it, nothing works. I was wondering if there is a workaround to move the cannon or if there is a workaround to save Yunobo without the cannon.  |

The Epic Games version is BORDERLANDSTPS-2.0.0 The Steam version is BORDERLANDSTPS-1.0.7... I've seen a downgrade online, that seems to be for 1.0.7... Could I apply that to my Epic Games version?? Or, do I get SHiFT accounts and use that to connect the games? Although, my Steam version doesn't seem to have any way to connect with SHiFT?  |
| How can I earn "Car Collector" achievement in Rocket League? Posted: 05 Jun 2021 12:34 AM PDT "Car Collector" achievement says that you need to unlock 5 cars to get it. If I recall correctly I started with 3 initial cars and I've already unlocked more than 5, here is my garage with 13 cars:
I've tried to follow this guide - I finished the Season Championship and then got 1 win for all of my cars in Exhibition mode, but still cannot unlock this achievement or get more cars. Looks like something was changed in recent F2P update. How can I unlock this achievement now? I play on PS4.  |
| Posted: 04 Jun 2021 05:08 PM PDT I found a SnowRunner gearbox today (that's the name of the upgrade not the name of the game), which provides me a real nice upgrade in a Low+ and Low- gear setting in addition to standard Low gear, which have some pretty obvious use cases that I completely understand. However, I now also have a high gear setting separate from automatic. My initial thought was that this should be used after automatic reaches gear 4, but whenever I shift into high, I slow down pretty dramatically, so I feel like that's not it. When, if ever, should I use high gear? Or should I pretty much just be using Automatic and Low+?  |

Posted: 04 Jun 2021 11:24 AM PDT So I was mining a stairway up from a mineshaft system when I was unfortunate enough to come across some falling gravel and I could not get out of it before I died. No big deal, I knew my location . I could easily get back with enough time before it all despawned. I went back to retrieve my items and only a select few were still there.. I dug around thinking maybe the rest glitched into other areas nearby. Nothing. So I guess my question is, can gravel destroy items?? The only things I got back were some random armor peices I collected, some sticks and a map. I lost everything else and it was a full inventory. There was no lava nearby or anything.. so my only guess is the gravel but I've never heard of it crushing items.. and if it does, why didnt it destroy everything? I had to mine into the gravel to retrieve what I did get back. so technically, I should've lost all of it if that were the case.  |
| How can I increase player morale? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 02:08 PM PDT Is the only way to increase morale for players to constantly feed them the ball (at least for offense) and to do well, hoping you get the chance to praise them? My star RB has been stuck at incredibly low morale ever since I was hired to the team. This means he performs incredibly poorly and it's nearly impossible to both do well and utilize him very much. Essentially I'm ending up in a vicious cycle of running the ball poorly game after game due to his poor morale, but I can't get his morale up because the run game is terrible and I can't seem to make anything happen (doesn't help that he's a low-ranked player, but still better than a non-star RB). Am I just kinda SOL until the draft? I don't have the credits to sign a free agent because, naturally I'm playing so poorly. This question applies to other positions as well, especially defense, where you have absolutely no control over any of the players whatsoever.  |

Posted: 04 Jun 2021 12:29 PM PDT To download my Steam games and their updates/DLC, I queue them up on my laptop which downloads them to portable HDDs. When I want them on my gaming PC, I copy the games from the portable HDDs (I am working on scripts to automate the process). When Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary was released for free, I went to get it, since I have all the other Borderlands 2 DLC, and wanted to get it ready for whenever I would have the chance to play Borderlands 2 while waiting for my new system, as my PC at that time was not able to run it. As I have never been able to add free DLC to the cart via the browser, I booted up the client and added it through that. However, after it had downloaded, Borderland 2 tried to boot up on my struggling laptop, but I was able to terminate the process. I'm not sure if this was a one-off with Borderlands 2 or not, but I would like to be able to get free DLC similar to how I get paid DLC: by adding it to the cart and letting it either trigger as an "update" able to be downloaded, or let it download only when I get around to downloading the base game. So: is there a way to add free DLC to a game on Steam so that it's queued and/or downloaded, but not let it start the game directly after? While this question is almost the same, the issue I'm having is that I already follow the procedure mentioned there for paid DLC. Free DLC, unlike what that answer indicates, does not get registered:

| Posted: 04 Jun 2021 09:09 AM PDT Not sure if people are on here, and not sure if it's been answered but my 9 villagers are not breeding they have plenty of crops and food (Some not harvested) and I've traded with them I also have 64+ doors so I don't know why they aren't breeding. The top of my doors are 3 blocks below where the villagers are Any help appreciated

| Why does Titan execution not trigger when meleeing a doomed Titan Posted: 04 Jun 2021 03:21 PM PDT This question was already asked and answered for Titanfall 1, but I wonder if there are any differences for Titanfall 2. I just had this situation where I (in Ronin) meleed another Titan who was doomed at least three times. We were hitting each other and then I was doomed to and he performed an execution on me, which was very frustrating. (My Sword Core was NOT activated at that moment.) I felt like this was happening before, so I wanted to ask: Is there more to Titan executions than meleeing a doomed Titan?  |
| Are there non-breakable weapons? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 02:09 PM PDT Based upon the early reviews/previews of Breath of the Wild, it seems pretty clear that at least when starting out, all of your weapons break with repeated use. However I'm wondering if this also holds true in the mid- to late-game? For instance, I'd assume based on some of the promos I've seen that the Master Sword exists in the game, and that as a unique and magical weapon that's significant to the plot it's not possible to just break it fighting some orcs (or bokoblins, or whatever). Would that be correct? And are there any other similarly unique, magical, and non-breakable weapons that can be obtained? If there are non-breakable weapons available in the game, how early is it possible to obtain one of them (I absolutely hate games that foist you with equipment that wears out and breaks, and will happily go well out of my way to avoid having to deal with this mechanic if possible)?  |
| How to kill King Radovid in "Reason of State"? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 11:58 PM PDT In Witcher 3 I'm at what seems to be a dead end. After Radovid told his men to kill Geralt, I pursued him and he is now in a fenced area, alone. My objective: kill Radovid. Alas, there is no way to get into this fenced area. All I managed in 15 minutes of trying was to get on top of the fence, but I cannot cross to the other side. What am I missing? What am I supposed to do? How can I get to Radovid from there? NB: I also tried Aard and Igni in the hope to destroy the fence.  |
