What was the point of the hidden BOTW text "The Master Sword has returned to the Forest"? Are these theories correct?

As the title stated does this imply at one time the Master Sword could be dropped: perhaps even equipped properly and/or even break instead of simply recharging? Then when if any of the above you get that text message if you went back there the Master Sword would be back in it's pedestal? Or perhaps you would talk to the Great Deku Tree in order to revive this?

Am I overthinking this as nobody made any theories off of this:

When does a neutral mob become non hostile towards a player?

I just attacked a llama accidentally instead of taming it. I just went far away from it, out of its sight, and then returned. Now it isn't hostile towards me.

So I wanted to know exactly how and after how much time does a neutral mob become non-hostile after it has become hostile.

Was Nintendo switch designed as a tribute to the R package ggplot2?

As I was working with r language this morning, I noticed the similarity between the default colors of the R plotting package ggplot2 and the "basic" nintendo switch colors

Does it look like a coincidence? I don't think so, but if anyone has a clue about this thing, please let me know, I can't stop thinking about it since this morning....

Why does The Airship map not have visual tasks and if they are there what are the tasks?

What are the common tasks on Airship?

And also why does the Doors in The electrical room change?

Will my turnips rot if I visit another island that has time-travelled?

I know that if I set my system time back to the past, any turnips that I have will rot.

But if I am visiting another island, and that player has his system time set to the past or to the future, do my turnips back in my home island rot when I return back to my own island and my own system time?

Why do so many games on steam not work? [closed]

I have noticed a trend in my recent purchases, which is one reason it's upsetting, being many of the games are either faulty or unplayable.

A few examples include:

Outer Wilds, which is a game I saw nothing but great reviews of until I opened it to discover that jumping among other commands was not working despite my device working fine. I found through Google that I am not the only one facing this problem. I do not know the difference between the people who've played and loved this game and those who experienced this problem, nor do I know if there is a fix for it as of yet.

Shenmue 1 and 2. I only played 2 and that was back when I had an Xbox so I wanted to try 1 and 3. In trying 1 I got about as far as I did in Outer Wilds, since after an unskippable cutscene to kick off the story, I started moving around before the game force quit. It did this every time I tried, and through Googling it I found again, I am not the only one experiencing this. I've learned from others, as I have not tested this myself, that 1 is the one with issues and 2 seems to work fine.

Horizon Zero Dawn. Now this one is not an issue that makes the game unplayable, but it is one that discourages me from playing it as this is not how I want my experience of a well-received game to go. I got the game to work fine up until a mob battle in an area with the mechanical deer. Once the mob is alerted to my presence a tumultuous noise similar to a helicopter (though some have compared it to a waterfall or stampede). Even when the battle is won or escaped, the noise persists indefinitely until I reset the game. Again, I Googled it and I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

So my question then becomes first, why are so many games on steam broken to this degree, is there a way to refund broken games (and is there a time limit), and is there anywhere with a list of which games are broken vs. which are playable so I can avoid this problem in the future.

I've been using Steam for years and although my library doesn't rival those in the hundreds, I have several times more games than those listed that work fine. After all, PC gamers were the ones who got to avoid all of the problems that created the controversy around Cyberpunk 2077. I'd like to think I can still trust it, but several bad purchases would make most people start to question it.

Why is Civilization III crashing on some of my computers?

I have been unable to get Civilization III to run properly on some of my machines; a Fujitsu U810 and Fujitsu P1630.

I have tried Windows XP SP3 and Vista (both 32-bit) on the U810 and Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit SP1 on the P1630.

I have successfully installed all of the drivers for both these machines and tested against the video drivers provided by Fujitsu as well as the latest drivers from Intel with no differences in result.

I had thought initially that the problem was due to the maximum resolution of the U810 (600 pixels) being less than the minimum resolution required by the game (768 pixels). Attaching an external monitor did not make a difference. The maximum resolution of the P1630 does support 768 pixels but made no difference.

I have tried the original vanilla release installed from CD with and without the latest 1.29f patch and the latest Conquerors release from CD with and without the latest 1.22 patch. I also tried with the GOG release.

The error message is this on Windows XP:

I have tried both full-screen exclusive mode as well as full-screen windowed mode with KeepRes=1 in conquests.ini. I have also tried providing explicit Video Mode=1024 and disabling the intro video with PlayIntro=0

Civilization III will work fine on some of my other computers including my modern Ryzen desktop with GeForce or Radeon graphics on Windows 10 but I cannot get it to run on these older machines.

I thought that this might be related to the Intel graphics chipset. However, I found that Intel's own website lists this game (Civilization III: Conquerers) as a supported title for the GMA 945 found in the Fujitsu U810.

if i want to make an item with colored names, unbreakable and enchants higher than maximum 1.16.5

I know that the command for colored items is like this:

/give @s diamond_sword{display:{Name:"{\"text\":\"fang\",\"color\":\"black\"}"}}  

and for unbreakable enchanted tools, it is this (from what I remember):

/give @s emerald{Unbreakable:1,Enchantments:[{id:sharpness,lvl:1000},{id:knockback,lvl:1000}]}  

Is there a way I can combine the two?

Where do Warpers go when they teleport?

When a Warper teleports away, where does it go? To another location in the game? To an inaccessible location? Or does it leave the game entirely until it's time for it to warp back in?

I have an Xbox live account, which is linked to my Epic account. My son doesn't like that when he plays Fortnite on the Xbox, his player name is my gamer tag. I want to create him his own Xbox account (free one), and then move the Epic account over to his gamer tag.

Is this possible? On the face of it, it seems so, but I will be the most hated man alive if he loses his Fortnite progress.

Boost Ore Detector Range?

The hand drill has a native ore detection range of 20m. The base-installed ore detector has an altogether unimpressive 150m range.

From glancing at wikis, the small-craft seems to be 50m.

50m is well below a safe flying altitude, especially in mountainous terrain, is 50m really the furthest you can scan for ore in a small craft? It seems basically impossible to conduct any kind of wide-area search for ore deposits with such a paltry scanning range.

Do experience buffs affect skill books?

I always assumed that Skill Books, Trainers and other free skill boosts always gave you exactly 1 skill level. However reading about trainers on the wiki I see that:

Training benefits from Sleeping and Standing Stone bonuses, though the XP so acquired will never result in advancing more than one level.

The same is also true for the free skills boosts.

So now I'm wondering if the same is true for skill books as well?

How can I force Steam to run a post installation script again?

Steam has a couple of scripts that are executed after the installation of a Game or Program. They say what else needs to be installed or what registry keys need to be created. Some examples:

  • Just Dance 2017 installs Uplay, declared in "steamapps\common\Just Dance 2017\Support\Installerscript.vdf"
  • GTA IV creates "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV", declared in "steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV\installscript.vdf"

Is there a way to force Steam to run the post installation scripts again?

Teleport unknown amount of players to a specific area

I'm making a server full of mini-games, and I'm running into small problems on specific games. I got everything set up except for this issue:

In racing games, I'm having trouble teleporting the winner (or top 3, I know how to place them) to a "podium": I don't know how to let the game know how many players there are, and teleport the winners into one area and everybody else into another.

how to re-texture armor with transparency

I was making my own texture pack and I fell into a problem. I was changing the texture pack of the diamond armor, and then I wanted it to have transparency so I went to GIMP(a photo editing software) and made this enter image description here

I replaced the old texture with the new one. then I made the texture pack and added it to Minecraft. nowhere is the problem, when I wear the diamond armor the transparency doesn't work and you can still see the diamond armor under it enter image description here

For some reason, pressing f3 + G doesn't work. Nor does fn + f3 + G. I also can't seem to show hitboxes either (f3 + H) or for showing the help thing (f3 + q). I was able to do this in other computers, but this one doesn't seem to work for some reason. Does anyone know why?

What are the timing and moves to get past the Mud Men in Dragon's Lair?

I've been working on completing the arcade version of Dragon's Lair in my spare time over the last few weeks and I'm stuck on the Mud Men scene. Despite reading two or three walkthroughs that I've found on the internet, I simply can't get past the second move.

The walkthroughs generally suggest hitting SWORD when the Mud Men first appear and then pressing UP after Dirk sheaths his sword. The idea is that you should start hitting periodic UPs while they chase you to the end of the screen, but only moving once Dirk has a slight pause.

I've tried this several times and I simply can't get the first UP to work. Sword works, it bounces off the men, and then Dirk sheaths his sword. Hitting UP before he puts it away, while he's putting it away, or after he's done simply fails and I get pulled into the goop. Apparently the machine I'm playing has the difficulty set to EASY.

Could it possibly be that Infinity Ward has shut down the Modern Warfare 2 network for playing in lobbies?

A strategy for Nethack progress?

I've been playing Nethack for years but don't get anywhere near the end for one reason or another. I'm experienced enough to not eat old corpses, wear cursed items or pick the wrong fight, but what I don't know is how quick to move down. I can empty Sokoban and all the Mines but I'm never powerful enough by the time I reach the Quest level and end up dying to something trivial while trying.

Should I just keep running about killing wandering monsters until I feel strong/equipped enough for lower levels?

Is there any way to get a refund for a game bought from Steam?
