Mine is an old pc and when using some redstone and water flow based farms it is becoming laggy - CPU utilization in task manager is 100%; rest of the metrics seems fine. Even when exploring with rockets and elytra maps are loading very very slow. SO I was thinking if I can host the minecraft server version in cloud like amazon and play from my desktop.

How will the performance vary? Will the CPU load decrease completely? How does Minecraft work - CPU and redstone tasks, world generation when exploring etc. work in server and only GPU/graphics load on my local machine? Will this benefit. Is it CPU bottleneck or GPU?

My machine is AMD Phenom II X4 945 (10-12yrs old PC) - but has SSD and basic GPU card. 4GB dedicated to MC launcher and total I have 8GB physical ram in local machine. I am already using optifine with Tlauncher

How does armor segments work in Apex Legends?

When I read the amount of shields I got in Apex Legends, how can I figure out what is the 'effective HP' I currently got?

Like if a full life legend has 100 HP... how much does each segment of armor add to that pool of HP? Does one segment count as +25% max HP? +50%? Is there differences between a segment of blue armor vs a segment of purple armor?

Jetpack turning on when I finish climbing a ladder on my rover?

Every time I climb the boarding ladder from my rover, my jetpack turns on even though there's a perfectly good platform right there.

How do I prevent this so that folk can easily board my rover without having to jump, or build a bulky boarding ramp setup?

I purchased the Windows 10 version of Minecraft so that my kids and I could play together (cross-platform). I'm playing on pc they are on the switch. My question is If I purchase a MOD pack and start up a world with that pack can my kids join that world without having the mod pack owned? I'm trying to keep from having to purchase it 3 times?

By the way, I am currently on a phone, so please excuse any formatting issues, typos, or grammatical errors. For reference: I have already looked at this thread, which seems to be the only thread on the site which references the logic gates, but it did not contain any information about the XNOR gate, specifically, and none of the proposed answers really discussed the XNOR gate at all. This question is not a duplicate of the linked question, as the linked question is too broad, and never directly asks about the XNOR gate, nor do any answers on that question directly explain how the XNOR gate works; my question was posted in order to allow players having issues specifically with one single gate to hopefully get help with it, whereas the other question was more aimed towards a single gate that differs completely from the gate that this question is aimed towards. Rather than marking my question as a duplicate of the other question, the two should be left up separately, and the other should be edited to remove the other gates that the poster was not actually concerned about; alternatively, the information from my question should be imported to the other question to address the XNOR gate.

I am attempting to set up a powered door in my settlement, to have an area where settlers cannot access, but I can (from my experiments I have done, it does not appear as though NPCs can actually use switches unless specifically scripted to do so, such as for missions or encounters in the wild). The problem is, I need to be able to open and close the door from both sides, and there is only one connection point on one side of the wall. I have already tried using radiating power instead of the hard connection, but it seems to require the hard connection. Even if it had worked, I would be left with basically an OR gate, where I would have to open the door from one side, flip the switch on the other side, then turn off the first switch, then turn off the second switch, just to get the door closed with myself on the correct side of the door. I experimented with different ways of operating this system for a few weeks, then I happened across the logic gates added by the Contraptions Workshop DLC. I immediately checked to see if the game had an XNOR gate (many games and logic simulators dont include this gate), and was excited when I discovered that it did, indeed, have the XNOR gate.

The XNOR gate, for anybody who does not know, is designed like those dual switch systems that many houses have for the lights in a hallway or stairway; if both switches are in the same position, the light turns on, regardless of whether the switches are in the ON or the OFF positions. If they are not in the same position (I.E., one is ON and the other is OFF), the light will turn off. This allows you to control the light from either end of a hallway, so you don't have to cross to the other side to turn you light off, then navigate your way in the dark to get back.

So, I designed an elaborate system to get the wires from one side of the wall to the other (since wires cant go through walls in Fallout 4; such a headache), and connected the two switches to power sources and to the XNOR input, and the XNOR output to the door. Nothing happened, so I checked the Wiki and learned that at least one, if not both, inputs have to come from another logic gate, not directly from a switch or power source. To play it safe, I connected both switches to AND gates, then the AND gates to the XNOR input. This seemed to do the trick at first glance, but then I discovered that it was still functioning like an OR gate. I double checked all my wiring, made sure there was no radiating power source that might be interfering, and even disconnected and reconnected everything. I couldn't figure it out, so I scrapped everything, went to another section of wall, away from any power source or powered object, and played around with the gates for a bit. I put two switches on the wall, wired them to AND gates, then those AND gates to the XNOR gate, and finally the XNOR output to another AND gate (I had seen a suggestion elsewhere that you might have to send the XNOR output to another logic gate rather than directly to the object you wish to power). It continued to do the same thing. Upon further inspection, it appears that the XNOR gate may have been designed incorrectly, because the game allows you to see the actual input and output values of logic gates, and as you can see in the photos linked below, the gate is functioning incorrectly (my phone refuses to upload images, so you'll have to use the links, unless someone else can put the images into my post for me; images uploaded to Imgur by a friend, as I dont have an account). I really need assistance with this one, because I hope to use a powered door elsewhere as well, and if I cant get even this one to work then I have no idea how I'm going to secure certain areas of my settlements.

Screws are one of the earliest things you gain the ability to produce in Satisfactory, and boy do you ever need to produce them! They're likely to be one of your main bottlenecks for quite some times as you climb the tech tree, and you'll quickly become more familiar than you ever wanted to be with the sight of the big blue plastic containers holding a bunch of screws.

Thing is... it's not until several tech tiers later that you unlock the ability to produce blue plastic, once you get oil and refineries. So where were all those boxes for all those screws coming from in the interim?

Minecraft sprinting while running and jumping

I have been playing on the same computer for about 5 years and it worked perfectly. Now for some reason i can not jump while running woth sprint or just at all walking and jumping. I try to do it and i just jump in place. I tried changing version and it did not work. I try to run and jump and it goes well for about 1 or half a second and then i jump in place with no movement at all for like 5 seconds and that has been happening for about 2 weeks now. On all servers. I didnt change anything in my computer, version or buttons. It just started happening out of nowhere. What do i do? Sorry for mistakes, English is not my main language.

Why does my hover keep moving away in Super Mario Maker 2?

One day, I hop onto Super Mario Maker 2, and I am making a regular map.

And then, suddenly, when I place a Goomba on the ground, and leave the hover to get another item, the hover moves after placing it. There is nothing wrong with my Switch, and this is very frequent and common. I was moving the hover with the joystick, so I tried moving it on screen, but that fell flat. The movement the hover went was up, but slowly. There are forums about the hover moving offsite, but it didn't answer my question. I don't know where the Super Mario Maker 2 support is anyway.

If possible, can anyone please tell me what is happening and why it is moving?

Second player losing their items on console splitscreen multiplayer

So I just came back to Minecraft after a long time away from my Xbox one s, and now that the 1.16.210 update is installed, when a second player enters split screen, their items are all lost and they are at the world spawn. This actually has been happening occasionally since 1.16, and I believe the trigger was the second play not signing in before attempting to join, but now it always triggers and doesn't resolve after quitting and restarting the game or even restarting the console. I had really good gear and items (Well enchanted netherite gear+tools, totems of undying) and was just about to fight the Ender Dragon, and now I'm scared to load up any other worlds in fear of losing my items. Is anyone else also having this issue and does anyone know of any potential solutions?

What the title says. I've heard that in Minecraft Java you can shift and double-click to move all of one item from one container to another. But this doesnt appear to work in Bedrock edition. Is there a faster way than shift clicking each item/stack one at a time?

ds4windows not working anymore after scptoolkit install

i was using ps4 controller on my win10 pc with ds4windows, it was workign like a charm.

after installing scptoolkit to try installing some ps3 controller, my ps4 controller via Bluetooth does not work anymore.

I fully uninstalled scp toolkit (forums.vigem.org/topic/250/scptoolkit-removal-guide). I reinstalled ds4windows (the good one ryochan7.github.io/ds4windows-site),

using usb cable it works,

using bluetooth the controller is pairing, it is showing up in ds4windows and the gamepad test is working (html5gamepad.com)

But if i go in windows "game controllers" panel a wireless controller entry is showing up, if i test using properties button no input is detected, if I try to play the controller are not working what should i do? I tried everything

What are the different currencies in Apex Legends and how are they earned?

After playing Apex Legends, I seem to have accumulated some of each of the three in-game currencies that are listed in the corner of the lobby screens.

On the Store screen I see some items for sale for the orange currencies, and some for yellow currencies. However, I'm not sure how each currency is earned, and why some purchases require one or another.

What are the different currencies in Apex Legends, and what are the differences in how they can be earned and what they can be used to purchase?

My Villagers won't breed

My villager breeder won't work. I've made a villager breeder and I have about 8 villagers in it, I've fed the villagers with a few stacks of carrots, potatoes, beets and bread. The villagers are displaying heart particles but don't produce baby villagers. I have one bucket of water on the ground below streaming the villagers into a trading station (obviously there are no villagers to stream) and I was wondering if this prevents the villagers to breed (like other mob spawns).

After a big reorganization and the complete demolishing of an industrial area, I ended up with a broken bus line with two loose ends. How can I connect the ends to close it? Usually these ends tie themselves up automatically, but this time it's just not happening, no matter where I drag the stops. Adding new stops creates new lines.

If NTSC and PAL are TV singals standards how could they affect display rate(Hz) or frames per seconds for console games (signal goes from console to tv) ? Does it still matter with hdmi?
