How do I turn off my Minecraft server announcing things in chat?

Recently my server has been announcing the most random things in chat and I don't know how to turn it off. It has been announcing the time, the date, and everytime a player gets kicked for being AFK. (Which is only visible to staff by default.) I'm running PaperSpigot on a 1.16 server. Thank you for any and all help.

Does villagers steal from our chest in 1.16?

I am building my base near a village. I am keeping my chests with valuables in my house. I have a doubt whether the villagers can steal my belongings from my chest.

I have checked the other question but it doesn't answer my question.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does Hyperscape require AVX?

I have seen sites that list the requirements to run that say you need AVX to play hyperscape, but I don't think Ubisofts site says this. Is AVX required? Will it crash the game without it? Anyone here whos played who doesn't have AVX?

How do I complete the torch puzzle in the secret chamber in Castle Dimitrescu?

In Castle Dimitrescu there's a room labelled Secret Chamber on the map, that can be accessed after you find the Iron Insignia Key. There's a torch puzzle you can complete in this room to gain access to a coffin containing some treasure.

That's all fine and dandy, except completing this torch puzzle is really difficult. You don't have much control over the torches since you can't grab them (just push or shoot them around), and the torches are far enough away that they can't reach each other without some messing around. I managed to complete this on my first playthrough by just messing around with them... but it took a very long time, and it just felt like pure luck that I finally managed to accomplish this.

I'm on my second playthrough now, and I'm not looking forward to another round of random torch flinging, so I'm hoping there's a consistent solution to solving this puzzle. I did some googling about this on my first attempt, and didn't have much success finding a nice solution to this. All I really find was people complaining about running into the same issues. There were a few videos, but again, they mostly just showed people randomly tossing the torches around. Shooting them does seem to be a bit more consistent (which you can see in videos like this one, but I didn't have much luck with that on my first playthrough, plus I don't fee like burning through a bunch of bullets.

Is there a a reliable way of completing the secret chamber torch puzzle in Castle Dimitrescu?

Is it possible to play Minecraft Java edition with someone from a different area on a private server?

I'm trying to invite an online friend of mine to my private server, and they couldn't join while they're screen says "Unknown Host". Does it have to do with distance or am I doing something wrong?

Heroes seem to have full health before engaging in battle but once the battle mode commences

I'm playing The Dwarves for the first time and noticed something odd.

Prior to a battle one is prompted to assign the (subset of) heroes which will participate and assign artifacts from the inventory. As you can see here, this particular hero is in full health. Alas, then the battle commences my heroes start with quite a bit health less than 100%. This particular hero even has only approximately 50% health at the start of the battle (although it regenerates quickly) and the health bar shows in yellow (instead of green).

Unfortunately I failed to take a screenshot of the fact, because Flameshot (yeah, I play on Linux 😉) refused to work ...

I'm using easy for the difficulty level and so it seems illogical that there would be a handicap like that.

Does anyone have an idea what causes this? Is there a way to prevent it (to be able to go into battle immediately instead of having to wait for the heroes to regain full health)?

Answer needs to be tested in java 21w20a. I lit the portal with flint and steel and it just set the obsidian on fire.

I'm not familiar with Minecraft commands, but I have a big project, and I have a big timeline. I can't waste time messing with it, and I don't know what to do with the coordinates or how to use the command to break the blocks in between several points. Please help!

Do Power Troopers revive each other?

I'm in Atlas HQ, using Zane and the Digi-clone, I trigger the apparently guaranteed Power Troopers that are basically guarding the first Typhon Log.

And then I hide and basically send my clone to do all the work for me. Every once it a while, I get EXP, and notice a Trooper coming from their spawn point around the same time.

I'm not watching my foes because I don't want to get shot, but are the Troopers respawning, so I have to kill all 5 at around the same time?

I think Pink is their healer, maybe it's their power?

SelectItem doesn't work but Inventory does

I just found out how item tags work and now I'm trying to check if the player is holding the sword with the tag. When I try to /execute if entity @e[nbt={SelectedItem:[{tag:{awakened:1b}}]}] the test fails

but when i Try this command it works. /execute if entity @e[nbt={Inventory:[{tag:{awakened:1b}}]}] it works. I am holding the item and it still doesn't want to work

If you are wondering this is the give command I used to get the tagged sword.

/give @p minecraft:diamond_sword{Unbreakable:1,HideFlags:1,Enchantments:[{id:"minecraft:sharpness",lvl:8}],awakened:1b,display:{Name:'[{"text":"Awakened arkhalis"}]'}} 1

Can't loot Rivet Gun from first Rosie in BioShock Remastered

I have four weapons equipped at the moment: wrench, pistol, machine gun, and shotgun. Now I've killed the first Rosie Big Daddy, and it dropped its Rivet Gun. When I point at the Rivet Gun as in the screenshot its name is displayed suggesting it's a recognized object that might possibly be looted, and from what I've read that should be the case.

However, when I press E (or any other key) nothing seems to happen, as if I can't interact with this object at all.

What's going on? Can I actually loot this item now? Do I have too many (4) weapons equipped at the same time? Can I drop some to pick up this one?

Bought games don't show up in library on new PC

I've got some problems with my steam library.

After buying a new pc, I logged into my steam account there and downloaded a few of my games I was in the mood of playing, including some free games and one of my paid games (Game Dev Tycoon). This was a few months ago. When I wanted to download the others, they weren't in my library, the free games (e.g. TF2 or Duel links), as well as the paid games (e.g. Mega Man X Legacy Collection, Portal 1+2 and Table Top Simulator).
When I searched for them in the Steam store, I could simply download the free ones, but there is a price shown for the paid games.

In the Steam forums and StackExchange, I found two tips I already checked: Being logged into a wrong account or having the wrong filters.
I checked whether I was in the right account by changing my avatar on one pc and checking whether it changed on the other one, which was the case. Also, as I mentioned before, I still have one of the games I bought. My account info also aligns.
On my old pc, when I use the standard filters with tools hidden, steam shows me that 19/114 objects are shown (all of my games minus the tools). With the same filters on my new pc, it only shows that 8/104 objects are shown. If I disable said filter, the hidden tools, which I didn't ever download, btw, are shown, but no games other than those that were shown with the filter.

Do you guys have an idea? It doesn't help that I can't really contact Steam support anymore and their self-help guide doesn't really work in my browser

When one is the target of an emergency there was a countdown telling you how you're doing. Im missing this info after playing the first time after some weeks. Did it get removed by an update? Can I find it at a different place?

In Minecraft: Education Edition, I'm trying to build something for someone; how do I see the coordinates of the block I looking at? I can't turn debug mode on like in Java Edition so is there another way to do it?

Why can't I get an Avatar of the Vengeful Monkey?

I play BTD6 on mobile and I got the "There can only be One" monkey knowledge and I wanted to get an Avatar of the Vengeful monkey but it hasn't worked any of the times I tried it. I watched this video where he summoned the vengeful monkey and followed his exact steps.

First I went into a challenge to make sure I knew what I was doing and I summoned him successfully. Then I played Candy Falls on easy to try and get it in an actual game but that's where I had some trouble. I put a Monkey Buccaneer and got him to 0-2-2 so he would be able to hold off the balloons for a while, then I put down Benjamin for the extra money.

I got a super monkey to 3-0-2 so he would be ready for the sacrifices, then I put down a cannon, a sniper, and an alchemist near by and put around 12 banks around the map to help me get the money faster, then I upgraded my bomb tower to 5-0-2, my sniper to 5-0-2, and my alchemist to 2-5-0, just like he did in the video.

Since I got all the upgrades needed I upgraded my sun avatar to a sun temple and re-did the process from above this time adding a 2-5-0 monkey village and placing a 0-5-2 super monkey and a 2-0-5 super monkey outside the sacrifice radius. At this point it was around round 120-130 and I upgraded to a sun god but for some reason my other 2 super monkey's didn't get sucked in and I didn't get an Avatar of the Vengeful monkey.

Did I do something wrong? I'm 100% sure I had monkey knowledge on because I was depositing money in my banks and I triple checked that all my towers were fully upgraded before I sacrificed them. How do I get an Avatar of the Vengeful Monkey?

How do I use an NBT editor to modify item properties?

In Minecraft, the NBT (Named Binary Tag) format is used to store data of our Minecraft worlds, including block, entity, and item properties.

In the Java Edition of Minecraft, you can modify this data by including the data in the command, like so:

/give @s diamond_sword{Enchantments:[{id:"minecraft:knockback",lvl:10s}]}

In the Bedrock Edition, on the other hand, NBT is inaccessible from commands. In order to modify NBT, we need to use an external editor.

What are some useful item properties that I can modify with an NBT editor, and how can I do so?

Skyrim SE crashing when not connected to External Monitor

Okay, so I'm having an issue where Skyrim SE is crashing every time I attempt to run the launcher. Most of the questions available currently answer issues involving mod errors (I do have had mods installed, though I don't think that's the issue).

The reason I don't think mods are the problem is because the game runs perfectly fine when attached to my external monitor. My set up is a gaming laptop with a secondary monitor that I use as my primary display- and that was how it was setup when I first downloaded and ran the game.

Since I practically never move my laptop from my desk, the crashing issue went unnoticed for months. During that time period, I've installed and uninstalled mods and have played practically issue free. It only crashes when I'm not attached to my secondary monitor.

I've tried uninstalling my mods, using steam to check my game files, running a fresh install, changing my skryim prefs adapter settings, changing my primary display settings using windows- nothing has worked.

Any ideas?

Skyrim: Quest not showing in game log

I can make quest stages , but the quest not showing in log... How do I fix it ?

Random spawn for multiplayer Minecraft server

I want to know if there's a way I can set it so that on first join, a player gets teleported to a random location on the map automatically. Then if the player dies without having a home set, they are once again teleported to a random location but not if they have their home set.

What would be the best way to accomplish this? May it be through command blocks or plugins.

How can I catch hostile mobs with golden lasso/ reuseable safari net

While playing the ATLauncher's craft pack, I made both the golden lasso from Extra Utilities and the reusable safari net from MineFactoryReloaded. I have a problem where neither can capture hostile mobs. I am very sure this is a bug because I wanted to make a enderman spawner but it requires a reusable safari net with an enderman inside. If you know how to fix this please answer!

Nevermore strategies in DotA

I completely suck at DotA (though I am somewhat familiar with Nevermore); I can never kill any enemy heroes even on easy. What strategies can I use to defeat enemy heroes?

I do the basics: get last hit to get cash and that's pretty much all I know. I buy the trent boots which are set to agility. The first two things I buy are a courier and the reg with +5 hp regen. I then get that sword with critical hits and upgrade it after getting demon's edge.

I still suck and can't kill enemy heroes even though I have +130 damage (or more). What can I do?
