Setblock command not working in Minecraft Bedrock

Posted: 13 Feb 2022 02:36 AM PST

I'm trying to use NPCS, and I need to remove the Redstone block activating one of the command blocks, I have it set to /setblock -394 59 239 and no matter how I use it (chain, impulse, conditional, unconditional, always active, needs redstone) or even where I put it, it's saying

Syntax Error: Unexpected "": 394 59 239>><<<

How can I fix this?

Roblox games take forever to open

Posted: 13 Feb 2022 06:45 AM PST

When I try to open a game nothing happens for like 5 minutes. Then it says connecting to Roblox for like 3 more minutes, after which it opens the game.

I don't have any internet or performance problems. I have a pretty good PC and I have been playing Roblox for more than 3 years now.
This problem started happening one week ago. I tried everything I could to fix it, inclucing:

  • Uninstalled Roblox 4 times
  • Updating my internet drivers but they are already up-to-date
  • Restarted my PC
  • Opening it in another browser

But nothing made a difference.

How can I modify the flow of time (not fps) in Dwarf Fortress?

Posted: 13 Feb 2022 04:47 AM PST

Thank you for considering my question.
What I am interested in doing is altering the actual in-game time that passes on the calendar when the game is running, per frame. If you look here, there is some very useful information. It says:

Every tick causes the in-game clock to advance by a specific quantity of time that varies depending on the game mode. In adventurer mode, 1 tick moves time forward by 0.5 seconds, whereas in fortress mode this causes 72 seconds to pass by. Thus, the simulation of time runs 144 times faster in fortress mode on a per-tick basis.

The specific quantity of time that the in-game clock advances per tick, is what I want to manipulate. By manipulating the game files, as is clearly stated in the wiki, you can modify the FPS settings, and by default even manipulate them in game, and by lowering the FPS you could effectively slow down the flow of time. Again the in-game clock time. However, as it says, at 30 FPS a year of game calendar time will still pass by in approximately 3 and 1/2 hours. I would like to be able to modify this all the way down to real time. Or even faster for experimentation.

To be more specific, exactly what game files control these variables, where can I modify the actual variables for how much in-game clock advances per tick?

Does the Pokemon affect resource gathering?

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 08:51 PM PST

When in the field, some resources require you to throw Pokemon at them to collect, such as berry trees and ores. I'm not very far into the game, but so far, it seems like any Pokemon I've thrown can collect it. But is there some benefit from using specific options? For example, would a rock or ground type maybe offer more from ores?

SteamCMD dedicated CS:GO server can't connect

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:15 AM PST

I'm trying to host a CS:GO server, but I can't get it to work. The ports are open from 27000-27030, as well as 4380.

When I host it, I can see it under Lan in the server browser. But if I view the server properties it has my local IP and not my public IP, and I am guessing this is why it's not working.

I can connect to the local IP but how do I make it so the IP of the server becomes my public IP allowing for people to connect?

Because in my router the traffic on these ports are being redirected to my local IP, but in CS:GO the IP of the server is my local ip 192.x.x.x and not the public 90.x.x.x.

What can I do?

Set SteamNetworkingSockets P2P_STUN_ServerList to "1.1.1.1" Gameserver logged on to Steam, assigned identity Logging into Steam gameserver account with logon token

I get these messages, so I assume most of the things are correctly formatted.

Fastest cavalry unit in Bannerlord

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 11:01 PM PST

In Bannerlord, what cavalry unit moves the fastest in a battle over perfectly flat terrain with time to get to its full speed, also, which calvalry unit moves fastest on the map? (If there even is a speed discrepancy between different cavalry units on the mao)

Note: I am only counting units that aren't companions, lords, the player, or the players family.

How do I buy a PSN gift card for a friend in another continent?

Posted: 13 Feb 2022 01:08 AM PST

I don't have a PS4 console or PSN account but since you can't gift games directly I want to gift my friend a gift card. They live in Asia and I live in North America. Would I have to make an Asian PSN account or a NA one? I want to make sure the gift works for them so can someone please explain to me the logistics of it?

Specific server not responding specifically for me

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 02:04 PM PST

There are a few community servers, in specific three from the same host, that I want to connect to badly but the game always says "Server not responding". I'm not banned from them and everyone else can connect just fine. But I just can't do it. Someone told me to try and connect to the server through Steam's server list in the "View" option, but it shows the same message ("Server not responding").

I've already tried turning off the Firewall. Verifying the game's integrity. Reinstalling the game. Setting launch option and typing the +clientport command. Nothing worked.

I really only want to join the IP 200.98.149.240:27015, but it's among the ones that simply aren't responding.

Looking around I've only found one other person with this problem, on a post from 2 years ago, and there wasn't any mention on how to fix this.

What is the level cap in Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition?

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:06 AM PST

The level cap for Final Fantasy XV was increased from 99 to 120 post launch. Was this change carried over to Pocket Edition or is the level cap still 99 in that game? Also, is the level cap even reachable due to the reduced scope of the game?

How does the wind-up box work in FNAF 2?

How to install a game to a Steam library using steamcmd

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:15 AM PST

In principle, steamcmd is able to download any game. If used without force_install_dir, the game goes into the main library correctly.

But if I specify another library using above mentioned parameter, the game never ends up in the library like I want it to. For example if my library used to look like this:

/media/crossoss/steam/linux/ /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/common /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/downloading /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/libraryfolders.vdf /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/temp /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/workshop

with no games installed and I specify force_install_dir /media/crossoss/steam/linux then the result looks like this:

/media/crossoss/steam/linux/ /media/crossoss/steam/linux/libSteamworksNative.so /media/crossoss/steam/linux/libsteam_api.so /media/crossoss/steam/linux/Snuggle Truck.x86 /media/crossoss/steam/linux/Snuggle Truck_Data /media/crossoss/steam/linux/Snuggle Truck_Data/level0

[...]

/media/crossoss/steam/linux/Snuggle Truck_Data/sharedassets3.assets.resS /media/crossoss/steam/linux/startgame.sh /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/appmanifest_111100.acf /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/common /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/downloading /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/libraryfolders.vdf /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/temp /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/workshop /media/crossoss/steam/linux/SteamLauncher

If I specify force_install_dir /media/crossoss/steam/linux/steamapps/common then the whole stuff goes directly into common instead of into linux (still not in a subfolder like it should) and no appmanifest_111100.acf file is created anywhere.

Unsurprisingly, the game doesn't launch that way (if the appmanifest is missing, it's not even displayed as installed, with the appmanifest there but the game files in the wrong place there is a "missing executable" error).

Workarounds or ideas how to get it right? Can I temporarily symlink the steamapps folder from the library where I want the game into the place where the steamapps folder from the main library is?

SteamCMD and Family Sharing on dedicated server

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:16 AM PST

I'm upgrading to a new server soon and would like to make this one a bit more secure than my last one. Since many of the game server binaries I want to install require the game to have been brought, it means I need to log in everytime I want to update them. This make auto-updating difficult because I have Steam Guard enabled and I don't really want to leave my password in game's update scripts.

So, I'm wondering if it's possible to have a second Steam account that I could do Steam Family Sharing with which would allow me to update the game servers which would save having to purchase the games twice.

If this is possible, how could in achieve this on GUI-less server? AFAIK, Family Sharing can only be enabled in the Steam desktop GUI and I think only works on that particular machine, but I'm unsure of its possible and would like an answer for this. I feel this could help others too with the same question.

What does trigger the hallucinations? (or are they random)

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:12 AM PST

Been watching FNAF 3, and hallucinations seem to be happening at random, seemingly without any patterns.

So do hallucinations happen at random, or do they have something that trigger them?

SteamCMD "Error! App '237410' state is 0x10502 after update job"

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:15 AM PST

I should most likely contact Steam Support as well about this, but my hope is this will be an easy fix.

My friends and I recently purchased Insurgency, so, in an attempt to get a server running, I downloaded SteamCMD, set the installation directory, and ran

app_update 237410 -validate

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, SteamCMD failed to complete the download and gave me an error

Error! App '237410' state is 0x10502 after update job

This was all done on my server machine which is currently running CentOS 6.5 64 bit. Does anyone know what would cause this error?

What are the pros and cons of using SteamCMD over Steam on a server?

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 10:15 AM PST

I'm looking at running a server on a Windows machine for a game available on Steam. I can either install Steam on the server and use that, or use SteamCMD to run the server instead. Are there any pros/cons between using either?

How do I fix the error "Connection Failed After 4 Retries"?

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 06:55 PM PST

I am trying to make a Gmod server, and believe I have everything set up correctly. I am using SteamCMD. I port forwarded all TDP/UDP between 27000 and 27050. I also port forwarded these ports in my firewall.

However, my server doesn't show up on the list after I start it, and when I type "connect xx.xx.xxx.xxx" it says "Connection failed after 4 retries."

How would one fix this?

Download CS:GO server without redownloading entire game

Posted: 12 Feb 2022 06:54 PM PST

I'm trying to setup a home CS:GO server, but I want to do it without redownloading the entire game. I'm using Steamcmd to download the server and I've had a look at the files which it is downloading, they appear to be exactly the same as CS:GO which I already have installed. Is there anyway I can copy my current installation over so it can only download the files it needs for the dedicated server? My internet isn't very fast so letting it download will take a very long time.
