Is it possible to run GOG Galaxy inside Steam via steam-store application? Posted: 23 Feb 2022 04:11 AM PST I know that on Steam it is possible to run non-steam applications and games via "Add non-steam game", but I'm running Steam via Geforce Now service where this way doesn't work. You can add non-steam games but you can't succesfully execute them. I have two questions then:
I was trying to find some apps to do this but could't find anything resembling general launcher or file manager. Maybe I was looking in wrong places. |

GOG Galaxy has lost my Pillars of Eternity install Posted: 23 Feb 2022 04:12 AM PST I've been playing Pillars of Eternity from GOG, and I just bought the White March DLC. It downloaded and installed the first part just fine, but it said downloading the second part failed, and suddenly the game isn't playable anymore. I went to the folder to try to run it directly, and I found that PillarsOfEternity.exe is now a 0 KB file! I restarted Galaxy, and now the game isn't in my list of games at the left, and if I try manually scanning for it using "Scan and Import Folders," it doesn't register as a valid game. Does anyone know how to fix this without having to re-download 20+ GB of content? |
How do I create a desktop shortcut for GoG Galaxy games after installing them? Posted: 23 Feb 2022 04:21 AM PST Apparently, you can create a shortcut when first installing a game using GoG Galaxy. I forgot to enable that option for Witcher 3 when installing it, so I don't have a shortcut on my desktop. According to their forums (http://www.gog.com/forum/general/desktop_shortcut/post4), you can enable an option in the settings menu (the cog on the bottom-left), but either I'm blind and can't see it or you need to enable something else as well. I can see "run on startup", "automatic bug reports", "preview updates", "no minimize", concurrent connections, startup page, language, some features that are coming soon and some folder locations. I don't see how to configure a desktop shortcut. How can I create such shortcuts? |
Is there an auto update for the GoG Galaxy Client? Posted: 23 Feb 2022 04:12 AM PST How does the GoG Galaxy Client Update? I can't find any option to run an update manually but it also does not seem to update itself automatically. How do I update the bloody thing? |
