How can I reach a lore text?

I've been trying to get the text from the lore of the item in the main hand and store it as a score value:

execute as @p store result score @s kC run data get entity @s SelectedItem.tag.display.Lore ...

But I have no idea how to continue the path to get the text as an output

What's a working strategy for "With our powers combined" trophy?

Minecraft 1.19 update came with new PS4 trophies, and I'm trying to get With our powers combined in a legit way.
This trophy requires to:

Have all 3 froglights in your inventory

A froglight is a luminous natural block that can be obtained if a frog eats a tiny Magma cube. Moreover, there are 3 colors of froglight that drop depending on what type of Frog kills the Magma cube:

  • pearlescent (purple) from warm frogs
  • verdant (green) from cold frogs
  • ochre (yellow) from temperate frogs

Frogs only spawn in Swamps (temperate species) and in the new Mangrove Swamp biome (warm species). So my first problem is that I need a cold Frog: for what I understood the Frog species is determined by the biome in which the Tadpole grew up. I can catch Tadpoles in a bucket, in this way I can easily move them to another biome.

The main problem is that Frogs spawn in Overworld, while Magma cubes only spawn in the Nether, and only in certain biomes.

So, here's my question:
Should I gather 3 species of Frogs and move them in a Nether portal, hoping to find Magma cubes to kill? Or should I leave my Frogs outside of a portal and make Magma cubes to follow me in the Overworld, in order to let the Frogs eat them?

Or am I missing an easier strategy to do this?

How to spawn items from command blocks with special names?

I've tried so many things to get this to work so: I'm trying to make this Minecraft map where one of the objectives is to collect a bunch of a renamed item, specifically raw gold, I want to rename them Starpieces.

Now I know you can summon non-named items just fine, I have a tree that drops bread when you press the button for it. I'm sure there is a collection of NBT tags that can rename the raw gold to Starpieces (and the bread to something else) but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to work.

Again, I'm trying to summon 1 raw gold, at specific coordinates that's been renamed to Starpiece.

in 2019, I made an account called Savagegirl7150 and I changed the password and forgot it, I've tried many times to redeem it , but I don't think I ever verified it because I didn't have access to my email at the time, after all I was 10. Someone help me get it back!!

What's up with Geodude's gen 1 moveset?

I read on pokemondb.com that in gen 1 Geodude learns Defence Curl, Harden, Self Destruct and Explosion. This seems like a strange combination of moves to me, and I have two questions.

Harden and Defence Curl appear to be identical, both increasing defence by one stage. Is there a difference that I'm missing? Why would Geodude learn both moves when they are the same?

Explosion and Self Destruct also appear to be almost identical, both causing Geodude to faint and also dealing heavy normal type damage. However it seems that Explosion deals only 170 base damage while Self Destruct deals 200. This is strange given that Geodude learns Explosion at a higher level. So, what's up with this also?

Does the Creation Club eventually present all mods for free?

Throughout the years I tend to regularly reinstall and play Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 (sometimes only to answer questions here).
I've noticed that the Creation Club offers new content for free and/or with discounts. I have the feeling this happens on a biweekly basis, and that there is often at least a single freebie available.
I am wondering if it is Bethesda's policy to rotate through every single item (excluding the 'Limited time only' ones) existing in the Creation Club and offer it for free, so that, in theory, I can end up owning every CC mod without having to pay anything (because see below).

Has there been any information regarding the way Creation Club content is offered for free?

(I've never approved of the Creation Club, and will not endorse it by spending money on it. Many of Bethesda's games have been, are, and will remain popular exactly because of their devoted modding communities, and monetizing on this by allowing only a tiny selection of the great content to be 'compatible' and turning off achievements for anyone wanting to mod their games as they see fit was and remains an ungrateful slap in the face of a big chunk of their fans. /rant)

Is there such thing as an "All Glitches" Speedrun?

I enjoy watching videos about speedruns, but I'm not super knowledgeable on everything so I don't know if this exists or not.

I just wanna know if there are kinds of speedruns where the goal is to perform every single glitch in a game before beating it.

I am looking for footage showing "both sides of a kill" in a first person shooter.

Let me explain.

My daughter is in 8th grade in highschool here in germany. They are discussing (online-) gaming in class currently. For her presentation about first person shooters (besides others) as an example for "serious games" (as opposed to casual games like these farm- or city buildkng games) she would like to include footage of "kills", both from the perspective of the shooter and the character getting killed.

Writing this it sounds awfully bloody, but believe me, it's not. School is much more adept to discussion here, even of serious topics, as US highschools are (been there, done that...).

Do buffs affect your part or only the character you're using?

Lost my house in Minecraft. Will it despawn?

What the title says. I'm playing the most recent version on Nintendo Switch as of 6/9/22 on survival mode. I made a house not too far away from my spawn point. I read online that a compass will direct you to your initial spawn point and I tried following it to its pole and it lead me to a biome I had never seen before, certainly not where I spawned.

The world I have is set to infinite and I'm presumably very far away from my house. Will my house despawn if I go too far away from it? Is there anything else I could do to try to find it?

Why does the Diamond and Pearl sound library only have "Trainers' Eyes Meet"-s for only some of the trainer types in the game?

Why does the Diamond and Pearl sound library only have "Trainers' Eyes Meet"-s for only some of the trainer types in the game?

From Disc 1, I see Ace Trainer, Cyclist, Hiker, Lass, Twins, and Youngster. Disc 2 has Aroma Lady, Artist, Black Belt, Collector, PI, Sailor.

So what about the other types, such as Rich Boys, Officers and Tubers? What music plays when their eyes are met?

Does Sona's Power Chord (passive) affect towers? If so, how?

I've read various things from various times, so I am not sure what is true with the current patch (12.10). I've also read that some abilities (Q, W, E) affect passive on towers, while others do not.

Can you make Ender Crystals do less damage?

I have been trying to find a way around Ender Crystal damage in my map I have been making. I want to make the Ender Crystals do less damage while keeping the overall player damage the same.
My first workaround involved using resistance against the Ender Crystals, then cancelling the resistance out for regular player damage by giving strength, however it seems that any resistance level above 5 makes the player invincible.

Is there a way to make Ender Crystals do less damage?

Random crashes with Hitman 3 on Linux via Steam Play/Proton

This is a question mainly for people playing Hitman 3 on Linux.

I am trying to play Hitman 3 via Steam Play (Proton) on pc running Ubuntu 20.04 but I have random crashes in the level Chongqing. After a random time in game the game simply closes and brings me back to the desktop. No error messages are shown. This happens after a random time in game. Sometimes after 5 minutes, after 10 minutes, after 20 minutes and the like. Didn't had this problem in the previous levels.

What I've tried so far: lowering all graphics settings, trying different versions of proton, reinstalling the whole game. Nothing worked.

Here are my specs:

OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Platform: Steam (using Steam Play/Proton)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (six-core processor x 12)
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Memory: 16GB

I also run a benchmark and the game is between 30 and 60 FPS. Average was something about 45.

In case there are any Linux gamers out there and have an idea of what might cause the problem, I am thankful for any help! Ideas and opinions from non-Linux users are welcome too, of course.

How can I disable esync in Lutris?

One of the games I'm playing through Lutris crashes frequently, and I've narrowed its cause down to a feature in wine called esync.

I want to disable esync but... I don't know how. The readme I linked to says I can turn it on with WINEESYNC=1 and I'm guessing =0 turns it off, but how? Where?

I have very little experience with wine and lutris configuration. WINEESYNC looks like an environmental variable but I don't know how to set those in Lutris.

In Dead Space 3, what are the possible reasons for a Scavenger bot to disappear?

Sometimes, for some strange reasons, you might lose a Scavenger bot and end up with one less bot than you're supposed to. This can be annoying, as the Scavenger bot is useful for collecting resources easily (mostly Tungsten and Ration seals).

What are the possible reasons for a Scavenger bot to be lost, and how to avoid it?

I'm creating a custom data pack. Basically I want commands to run when the ball is within 1 block of the red marker.

These first 5 commands work great!

Unable to link two portals in the immersive portals mod in Minecraft

In Minecraft, I was using the Immersive Portals mod and I can not get two of the portals to connect, it is connecting to where a different portal is, but there are no portal helpers there. I know it can auto-generate portals but it didn't for that one... They are facing different directions but they are the only two portals in my world. I would like to know a way to fix this, or better a command to directly link two portals without having to play this guessing game.

Do potions of decay generate in witch huts?

According to the Minecraft Gamepedia page for Swamp Huts, potions of decay have a "rare chance" of being spawned inside cauldrons in swamp huts, but the exact chances as not specified. I have checked over 50 swamp huts using the Witch Hut finder in Chunkbase.com on my survival world, and none of them had a potion of decay.

In the history section of the wikia page it is said that in Pocket edition Alpha 0.16.0 Build one, potions of decay were added to the loot table, but the page for the build itself did not include any information whatsoever on this matter.

So my question is, are potions of decay actually part of the loot table of potions that generate in swamp huts?

Disabling Railcraft features

Is there a way to disable certain features provided by Railcraft? For example, I do not want to be able to get more rails for the same amount of resources, since I want to keep the values as much vanilla as possible.

I'm playing HOTS on my laptop, which has an integrated Intel card and an NVIDIA card. The game runs fine, automatically using the NVIDIA card, and the performance is great.

However, in the graphics settings menu, only the Intel card is listed, which locks some of the higher graphics settings, specifically the texture quality.

Is there a way to resolve this, perhaps by modifying some config files?

I'm at renown level 7 now, and I've accrued quite the stock of armor, weapons, and other usable items. However, up until this point, I have not been allowed to sell them.

Every time I try, the game says I will be able to do this later in the campaign. When will that happen? Will I get there before hitting a paywall?

On Minecraft PS3 can I set up a game that either of my daughters can access without split screen?

I suspect this is a simple question but I want to set up a game that either of my daughters can access on my PS3 but which, when there's only one of them playing, doesn't split the screen and require the other player to be in the game.

I want a game either of them can join and play as their own character without the other being present.

I hope that makes sense.

In the process of looking at my hand in Card Hunter, I clicked on my character's movement ability.

However, I don't want to move yet -- is there a way to cancel my selection and pick a different card instead?
