Lava Concentration at Y=5

I recently watched some Minecraft youtubers make videos on how diamonds spawn more frequently at y = 5, 6 rather than y = 11, 12 as of the JE 1.17 update. So, I wanted to test this on my survival world. However, whenever I go down to y = 5, I seem to find a lot of lava, with the lava sources being at y = 8, 9 mostly. It is quite the hassle to clear out the lava. So, I had a second thought about making diamond mining efficient at y = 5. My main question goes like this: Is there any stat on the lava concentration at y = 5 (or at any y value in general). I would have made stats myself if I knew the use of coding to experiment with the world, but unfortunately I don't. Knowing the stats can help in actually determine the superiority of y = 5 or y = 11 mathematically. Thanks in advance.

Minecraft logging me out

Every time I load Minecraft's launcher it logs me out. Also when I load lunar client I have to log in. I've tried changing passwords as well. Nothing has worked please help me I cant figure this out.

Is there any way to fix this? I have successfully gotten through gate with glitch but when I press button to open door still nothing happens and I am stuck on other side of gate till I eventually load my last quick save. CANNOT GO BACK BEFORE MET HER do not makes saves through game would be going back to beginning. I just want Serena to stop following me. I can't even trade things with her or tell her to wait somewhere. She is so annoying! Please help!

How can I stop Minecraft Launcher from requiring Microsoft sign-in every launch?

My son plays Minecraft Java Edition on Kubuntu 20.04. Up until recently (a couple weeks ago), it would always log him in automatically. Then, it stopped doing this, and prompted him to choose "Microsoft account" or "Mojang account."

Also, in the course of trying to sign in with the Microsoft account, "X" would pop up a zillion messages saying "the password you use to log into your computer no longer matches that of your login keyring." (No, the unix login password was never changed.) I got rid of those messages by deleting (actually moving aside) the file ~/.local/share/keyrings/login.keyring; the next time we logged him into the Minecraft launcher with the Microsoft account there was a system prompt to enter a password with which to create a new default keyring, so we put in his unix login password for that on the basis of the earlier error message. (The new keyring had "Default" in the name; it wasn't called "login.keyring" anymore but I don't think that's important.)

This seemed to work fine, the launcher showed his Minecraft name in the list and after clicking it, he got the normal launcher screen with a big "play" button.

However, I wanted to test further so I logged out of his Linux account and logged in again. After that, starting the Minecraft launcher newly again showed the "Mojang account" or "Microsoft account" choice, i.e. he wasn't kept logged in. Maybe the keyring wasn't unlocked?

Does anyone know how to permanently resolve this? So far as I can tell nothing was changed locally between the time when it was auto-logging him in and the time when it started prompting for Microsoft sign-in every launch.

(Although, one thing that occurs to me is that it's very rare for him to log out of the Linux account rather than just lock it and put the computer to sleep, so maybe there's some step that needs to happen to unlock the keyring after he logs in? But I don't recall ever doing that before, and he's played for months; I don't think two weeks ago was the first time he's signed out the Linux account since starting Minecraft for the first time.)

Is there a standardized rating system for game difficulty?

I was recently reading about the various game content rating systems in place in various areas of the world. When describing the PEGI system, Wikipedia observes, "The age rating does not indicate the difficulty of the game or the skill required to play it.". The overview of the North American ESRB rating system, by its focus on content factors (such as violence and sexuality), implies that game difficulty is not a factor there either.

That really makes me wonder - is there some sort of standardized scale or rating system to describe the difficulty level of a game as opposed to the level of mature content in the game? I recall playing many games in the 1980's that were wickedly hard compared to the games of today - you had to twitch that joystick just right repeatedly for several pulse-pounding minutes to advance to the next stage, but the content was much tamer than today - no blood or nudity to speak of, extremely minimal use of four-letter words, etc. Such games would merit very low ratings on the ESRB or PEGI scales but are probably very inappropriate for little children.

To be clear, I'm very aware that designing a workable scale or framework for rating game difficulty is itself a challenging task. That's why I'm curious if such a framework meaningfully exists at all, even if it has known flaws or is not very well respected.

Check players permission-level

I am currently working on a minecraft map for realms, and was wondering if there is any way to check a players op/permission level.

In a minigame, no one has operator permissions except the owner who is an operator with level 0 in order to be able to get into the server when it's full, and settings cannot be changed. Control panels normally designed to be used by operators may need to be updated to allow any player to use them.

So how do I check if a player is operator? (Through datapacks/commands)

Can I remove all blood on Monster Hunter Tri?

I've heard that there is options to remove blood in this game, but I want to make sure this removes all the blood, player and monster, and not just some of it. Is there a way to have a blood free experience?

Just to make sure there's no confusion, I'm referring to the wii exclusive monster hunter game.

I learned the hard way that the Apple iTunes app store is a `marketplace' and, after the first time you download a game, you have no recourse if the app is removed from their servers and the developer does not respond to e-mails (see Is it possible to copy an app from an ipad back to a Mac/PC in cases where you didn't keep the .ipa file?). Digital downloads on Xbox 360 came with a similar warning but Microsoft's policy might have changed with backwards compatibility.

Perhaps digital games are like a good bottle of wine -- you never buy one, only rent it.

Last gift in Brunch Canyon

The gift NPC says there is one more gift/outfit in Bunch Canyon's seven screens, but I've been through all the flowers and don't see any hidden gifts. I have the one behind the corrupt tree (up the waterfall) but I imagine there's just a really hidden one--where is it?

I've found the Halfling Manticore Rider in the Tome of Wonders.
It's the only t4 halfling unit I could find.
However I cannot find what must be done to actually make the unit.
What chain of buildings grants access?

I see the unit becomes available when you build the Great Beast Lair.
But I don't have that building available in my other game.
Is it that this building/unit can only be build by a halfling warlord?

What circumstances grant me the Nice/Great/Excellent catch from my Buddy?

So when the buddies came out, they were given bonuses like being able to bounce the ball back at the Pokémon you are trying to catch, for a guaranteed hit. However lately, I have noticed that I am rarely getting the "Nice", "Great" or "Excellent" bonuses from this anymore, whereas originally it would be pretty much guaranteed.

Is this intended functionality, and if so, what are the circumstances (i.e. percent chance, or timing?) that do allow me to gain the extra benefits of a Nice/Great/Excellent throw when my Buddy hits the ball back at the Pokémon I am trying to catch?

EDIT: I'll point out the obvious, and go through the steps of what (should) happen, then clarify my issues.

  1. I wait until the circle is small enough for a Great/Excellent throw
  2. I throw the ball, and the Pokémon "attacks", deflecting the throw. This also makes the circle "disappear" during the animation.
  3. My Buddy Pokémon bounces the ball back. This always hits the Pokémon dead center of where the circle would be.

From what I've seen, this does not always award the throw bonus (nice/great/excellent), either as part of the catch animation, or as part of the report on a successful catch. It does sometimes, other time it doesn't, and I don't know why it's inconsistent.

Custom Minecraft 1.8 spawners

I am working on a minecraft 1.8 server and am trying to make a mob spawner that spawns items. This example:How can I make a spawner that summons Items? works on new versions of minecraft but not on 1.8. It seems that any mob spawners placed down by command blocks don't work. The following command:

/setblock ~ ~1 ~ mob_spawner 0 replace {SpawnData:{id:zombie},Delay:299}  

Creates an empty mob spawner that does not spawn anything. I am using minecraft forge with worldedit but no other mods. How can I fix this?

Does taking a quest from Giants incur some penalty with Dragons in one's domain (and vice versa)?

When does Rao turn Evil?

So, as part of the "second chapter" of the Okami story, after you defeat Orochi, you are helped by the Priestess Rao, who is trying to recover the Fox Rods.

However, after recovering the Dragon Orb, you also find that the Water Dragon swallowed the Fox Rods. This is when you see an apparition of Rao guiding you through a shortcut back to the Imperial Palace, to visit Queen Himiko. Here, you find that Rao has been killed/possessed by the Ninetails.

When is Rao replaced by Ninetails in the storyline?

Managing masters dailies tiers

Yesterday I've finish T6 map and went to sleep in hope that today I'll start doing yellow dailies. But no:

All yellow tiers are 0.

Wiki say:

Each day five new master missions will be presented on the Atlas after the reset at 5pm MST (GMT-7) based on the player's last completed map tier with a range of +1/-1 tier.

My question:

Was I just unlucky that all masters decided to do -1 map tier ? Or is it rolled once for all of them?

My additional thoughts below (can be ignored when answering):


Tooltip in atlas is as generic as it can be:

will accumulate daily based on the tier of the last map you completed

This doesn't imply finishing white T5 map could give yellow daily. Nor opposite.

Pretty dissaponted with this GGG innovation, I could have done T7 map if I'd know that tricky to guess rule. If I'd be their programmer I'd make it based on Zana quest line progress, giving +1 daily per tier once it's unlocked (white - once zana quest started after completing T1 map, yellow - after completing shaped T6 map, red - after completing elder T9 map).

Whenever you manage to score a birdie or lower on a hole, you can earn a medal for that hole, which can be seen when viewing the scorecard for that course.

The medals come in three tiers:

  • Silver Medal - Birdie (1 under par)
  • Gold Medal - Eagle (2 under par)
  • Rainbow Medal - Albatross (3 under par)

Is there any reward for collecting these medals?

I bought GTA IV - EFLC today.
I have got 2 DVDs and CD-Key. (also a printed map and manual. I like it.)
What I don't have yet is a DVD Drive on my Gaming Rig.

Any Ideas on how to run it?

Can I make iso files of the DVDs from my laptop and use them.
Did anyone try this? Did it work?

In the very first mission, after meeting Jacob, I am stuck at a job which says Examine Door. The current job is to defeat the hacked mechs whose army appears to be endless. There appears to be no end to their attack and the map leads to the door which says Examine Door. I am stuck. What shall I do?
