How do I save corrupt Minecraft files? (Windows 10 Edition)

In one of my previous questions I asked about losing a bunch of stuff like my house in my Minecraft world due to what I thought was a chunk error. As it turns out, I have about 10 'lost' files in my Minecraft world and I am desperate to find out how to recover them. I've tried using software to recover them and they all say it's successful but when I try to put them back into the world folder it's still the same - they just disappear when I log on. Any solutions?

one of my friends has a realm and I wanted to join it. he said he didn't have me whitelisted so I told him that I could just add him through a cubecraft server he said it wouldn't work but I said I had done it before and I have. I am on a pc but he wouldn't try. was he right or was I right?

Is there a way to change the orientation of a cloned collection of blocks?

I know how to use the clone command to copy a collection of blocks between specified coordinates for a lower-near-right and upper-far-left of the area to be copied, to the lower-far-left of the area to copy to:

clone    0 4 0    -5 9 -5      5 4 5        |  from  |     to    | destination

The command above will copy a 5x5x5 collection of blocks to the coordinate 5, 4, 5 where that coordinate is the lower-far-left corner of the copied blocks, filling away from the world origin, towards the lower-near-right corner specified as the clone area starting point:

With that in mind, I often find myself wanting to copy a collection of blocks to a new area with a new orientation. For example, let's say I wanted to create a cross where each arm is a 2x1x3 collection of any block type. I want to be able to create the first arm, then clone it, rotated 90 degrees, then repeat the rotate and clone until I have all four arms leaving me to simply fill in the center:

Is there a way to either:

  • Clone with a lower-right and upper-left position specified for the destination?
  • Clone with a specified rotation on say the y-axis?

NOTE: Creating a custom behavior pack isn't out of the question, so long as I can easily execute the clone.

The definitions of lower-far-left, lower-near-right, and upper-far-left, in the context of this post, are, with respect to the origin of the world located at 0, 0, 0 where: lower-far-left denotes a smaller value all three axes, lower-near-right denotes a smaller value on the y-axis with a larger value on the x and z axes, and upper-far-left denotes a larger value on the y-axis with a smaller value on the x and z axes.

Why won't Steam download games when I set my laptop to sleep mode or shut it down? [duplicate]

I have seen people say that Steam downloads games when your PC is sleeping or shut down, but my game doesn't download when I shut it down or put it to sleep. I don't really know why, but it worked on other games, I just don't know why it won't work on this game.

I like to download games at night, because my internet sucks in the morning. Why won't Steam download games when I set my laptop to sleep mode or shut it down?

My entire house has been destroyed - why are there huge gaps in my world?

After a long night of gaming with my boyfriend, finally making a nether portal and exploring for a bit, we logged off for the night. However, when I log on this morning to work on stuff, our whole house, along with the ground surrounding it, is just gone.

There are huge holes in the floor, along with small remains from our house and farm. I assumed it was a chunk error, so I tried resetting them, but it didn't work. I tried logging off and back on again, but it did nothing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my game, but it did nothing. I checked my other world, and it was completely fine, so I'm being led to the conclusion that the nether may have destroyed the world; however, from the way the holes are formed it doesn't seem like damage from a mob.

Something else that I thought was weird is that some grass that we broke to make room for our farm and egg farm had regenerated. We had two rows of wheat, plus some space for fencing and lighting, and suddenly the grass is back. We also had a panda enclosure with some bamboo, and as you can see in one of the images, the ground under it is gone; but it's still standing tall and proud.

There is also a huge hole behind this area, and I'm really stuck on what the cause could be, because if it was mob damage, I assume it would be a lot less severe and more prominent. If it was missing chunks, it would've been a lot simpler to fix.

We've spent so much time on this world, and it would suck so bad to find out there's nothing we can do. I am running Minecraft version 1.17 on Windows 10.

Edit 1: I went back to check on the world. The MB's keep going up, yet there's no change to the world.

Edit 2: so I found some corrupt files in the world after looking into my world files on my drive. Any ideas on how to recover them?

Say I want to mark a 30 blocks radius for spawn proofing, the I would need some kind of Indicator to show the 30 blocks radius,any suggestions?

I was doing the quest "Staff of Magnus" in Labyrinthian, and I wonder whose is the ethereal, magicka-draining scary voice in that place? Is that the voice of Morokei, a Dragon Priest in the end? Or something else? I'm just interested in how the story of Skyrim explains that. Thanks.

Most similar character between Brawl and Ultimate

I'd like to get some practice on Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii version so the next time I play Ultimate I should hopefully do better. What characters are the most similar in Ultimate to their respective Brawl versions, and would be best to practice with (not Sonic, as he's too annoying)?

TF2 Private Server won't work with friends

I'm halfway through building a villager cure station from a zombie spawner however since 1.11 zombie villagers don't spawn there anymore...

Is there still a way to maybe change this feature back through the use of a datapack or commands or something I tried this command /setblock ~ ~ ~ spawner{SpawnPotentials:[{Entity:{id:"zombie"},Weight:19},{Entity:{id:"zombie_villager"},Weight:1}]} and it says could not sit the block is there something wrong? I'm playing on 1.17

Can I make the player freeze without powdered snow?

I want to give players the effect where snowflakes appear on the side of the screen, their hearts turn blue, and they take constant damage. Any idea how I can do this while the player is outside of powdered snow?

It cannot be added with the /effect command, as it does not seem to be a potion effect. I checked the nbt data of the player and of a cow using /data, and it seems that the tag that is changed while an entity is in powdered snow are Ticks Frozen. Setting this value to its natural max, 140, repeatedly on a command block does not cause the entity to take damage, and cannot be tested on players due to the way NBT data modification works.

Is it possible to give other players the ability to use my powertools?

Can I give other players the use of my powertools with the EssentialsX plugin for Bukkit? Not the ability to use the /powertool command, but the usage of my premade powertools.

Example: I make a fireball staff and the players cannot use /powertool themselves, but have to buy my powertools such as the fireball staff.

Can I move armor stand legs up?

I'm trying to make an armor stand look like its flying with elytra, and I can't seem to get it right. The command I'm using is:

/summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {NoBasePlate:1b,ShowArms:1b,Rotation:[53f],ArmorItems:[{},{},{},{}],HandItems:[{},{}],Pose:{Body:[38f,0f,0f],LeftLeg:[66f,0f,0f],RightLeg:[64f,0f,0f],LeftArm:[257f,0f,0f],RightArm:[253f,0f,0f]}}

But the legs are too far down and all I can do is rotate them :/ is there something I can add or another command that I can use? Thank you

Kerbal Space Program saved game not showing up in File Explorer

So I have a problem. I want to copy some of my crafts from one save to another. However, I can't seem to find the save in File Explorer. The save shows up in the game itself, but not in file explorer. Same thing with "parts", there is nothing in it, but all the parts show up in the game. There are only 3 things right now in the "save" directory in KSP_win64, which are default, training, and scenarios. default is indeed one of my saves, yet it's my career mode save with nothing in it, because I don't play career mode. I play most in my sandbox save, called "BOB", yet I can't find it anywhere in the KSP directory. Any idea where to find your saved games in File Explorer?

NOTE: I DON'T have the steam version; I have the version from the KSP website.

I don't know how to view my achievements. I am on Minecraft bedrock edition v.1.14.60. I have actually looked up "how to find achievements in Minecraft bedrock edition 1.14.60" on Google, but even after searching that long phrase and looking everywhere the achievements were on their screens, I still can't find achievements anywhere. How can I execute at a chest with a specific pattern of certain items?

I'm trying to use commands to make something similar to the "pop-up tower" chest on Hypixel bed wars.

I am trying to testfor and execute at any chest with a specific pattern of certain items, or at least one with a specific name, and also at unspecific coordinates.

As of now, I can testfor a chest with specific items, but only relative to the player. And also, any item can be in the other unspecified slots, so when I test, how do I check for no item in a slot?

And what command would I use to execute at this chest?

I'm on 1.12 by the way. So 1.13+ commands won't work for me.

I type in /give minecraft:locater_map, or some other /give command, and it says

Syntax error. Unexpected ""

I keep thinking to myself: there is nothing in the quotation marks, so why do I get this error?

Select teams using /tellraw command?

I would like to know if it possible to use teams with the tellraw command.

I know that you can use it to select players (e.g. /tellraw @a {"text":"","color":"blue","extra":[{"selector":"@p"},{"text":" has won the game!"}]}), but is it possible to do this for teams?

I'm using Minecraft version 1.15.2 and am in a Superflat world in Creative Mode.

Is it possible to teleport an entity to a nearby entity?

With players, you can teleport player1 to the closest nearby player with:

/execute at player1 run tp @p

But can the same be done with an entity?

In The Knife of Dunwall, I decided to have Barrister Arnold Timsh arrested (the dastard had it coming).

Now, I'm in Coldridge Prison and Timsh is asking me to get him out, telling me that this is the chance of my life.

Although I'm financially self-sufficient, I guess a little extra coin couldn't hurt, but I don't really trust Timsh to uphold his end of the bargain, and I'm worried about my reputation too; also, it would be pointless to free him, if he's just going to get himself killed by the guards.

What are the consequences of freeing Timsh? Will I have to expect retaliation from his niece, Thalia? What about Wiles Roland?
Will Timsh ever find out it was me who sent him there in the first place?

What to socket Aldur's Rhythm with?

I found a 3 socket Aldur's Rhythm during my game play last night, and it is a vast improvement over the weapon I was using.

I am running a Zeal Paladin, on closed Battle.net, at Nightmare difficulty Act 3, and I am hoping that it will help me up to Hell difficulty. Based on those threads from players using this weapon in Hell I feel like I've gotten a great weapon earlier than normal.

I read suggestions about adding 3 Shael runes to make the increased attack speed as high as possible, however, the calculator I found showed my number of attacks (Zeal) would increase from 4.16-4.46 for the 3 rune upgrade. Gaining 1 attack every 3 seconds doesn't seem like a huge damage gain.

Others suggest adding Amn runes or 3 Perfect Skulls to bump the life/mana leech. At present potion guzzling is a bit of a problem, but I may only need to find one good armor to solve that problem for a while. This doesn't seem like the worst choice, however the weapon does already have 10% Life Stolen Per Hit and 5% Mana Stolen Per Hit.

Other thoughts I've had include using Eth for the -25% to target defense, Mal for prevent heal, and perhaps Dol for 25% monster flee.

Given these circumstances, what are solid options that will be useful through the Nightmare Acts 4,5 and into Hell?
