Intelligence & Skill points in Fallout: New Vegas Posted: 14 Jun 2021 04:14 AM PDT Intelligence increase the rate you get spendable skill points per level, but what i am wondering is this retroactive? The calculation = 10 + (0.5 * Intelligence ) per level. So a level 10 character with 1 Intelligence would have 15 skill points And a level 10 character with 2 Intelligence would have 20 skill points But there are ways of increasing the Intelligence stat in game. So what would happen if @ level 5 the player goes from 1 Intelligence to 2 Intelligence. Would the end result be 17.5, or will it be retroactively added up and become 20. (So basically, is the calculation about how many skill points gained, or how many skill points a character should have at that level) |
Can I Unlock The Fallout: New Vegas Steam Achievements If I Buy It Through Bethesda.Net? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 04:14 AM PDT Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition is currently 50% off on the Bethesda.net launcher. If I buy it there, can I just add it to my Steam account and earn the Steam achievements for Fallout: New Vegas, or do the achievements only work if I get a Steam key for the game? |
Golden Apple Archipelago, are you under the same sky? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 03:08 AM PDT
Since the game was released last year, Travelers have been looking at the sky. Soon, someone noticed something floating up there, a constant presence that will accompany you everywhere, every time. An island floating in the sky. Some say it is Celestia, some say it is the proof of the sky being fake. No mater what they say, the island still linger there, a constant presence. Or so it seems... The Golden Apple Archipelago. A place lost in a dense fog, the first time you settle foot there you barely can see the sky, let alone something flying there. But later, when the mist leaves place to the brightness of the sun, when the sky finally greets you again with its blue... something... seems missing. The question is simple: Did anyone manage to catch a glimpse of the floating ruins anywhere in the Archipelago? And does the game provide any form of clue/lore as to why it shouldn't be visible from there? While the exact position of the island isn't know, it should be "close enough" to Mondstadt for Venti to know about and Dvalin to fly too in reasonable time and the ruins are even visible from Liyue probably even from Inazuma... |
Flickering shadows in games. Help Please Posted: 14 Jun 2021 04:10 AM PDT Hello I would like to ask if there is a way to fix this flickering shadow. It appears in almost game that I'm playing. It's very weird. My Rig: Ryzen 3 3100 GT 1030 GDDR5 B450m mortar 8GB DDR4 RAM 720p Monitor Here's what it looks like in game. It's on the max setting. On a Nintendo Switch, why don't parental controls kill the game when the time limit is up? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 12:47 AM PDT Nintendo Switch has a Parental Control system and corresponding app. You can also get daily reports: When playing Minecraft Online or Stardew Valley - the parental control Play Limit (set to 1 hour per day) doesn't kill the game at the end of the 1 hour. My question is: On a Nintendo Switch, why don't parental controls kill the game when the time limit is up? |

Posted: 13 Jun 2021 10:49 PM PDT I'm a relatively new player to Pokemon Go but I do know the basics. That being said, I was out for a drive earlier today when I stumbled across a Gym at a church with a Pokemon that had a CP of over 48,000! Later I found another gym with another 48,000 CP pokemon in it and that's when I started wondering if I was missing something. I researched in and out about gyms but I was unable to find anything about these high-level CP pokemon. I hate to sound like a nut, but if anyone knows anything about these specific kinds of Gyms and/or Pokemon, I would really appreciate it! |
How exactly do I get pc games on ps5? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 09:03 PM PDT I've heard something about deleting the kernel or something on the ps5 in order to be able to get pc games on ps5. The only pc game I want, the one in question, is Minecraft Java Edition because I see it far superior to Bedrock Edition. My manager was talking about how he did that to his Xbox in order to get Doom on it before it was released to console, but what exactly does it require to get Java. (I have no clue what I'm talking about, so feel free to edit.) |
Minecraft "Unable to connect to world" on Wifi Posted: 13 Jun 2021 08:47 PM PDT I'm on vacation and part of the fun was supposed to be play minecraft with my son on our server. But whenever we attempt to connect we get the dreaded "Unable to connect to server message". We are playing Bedrock using ipads. Both iOs and mincraft are up to date. I have local network enabled in the settings. We are able to connect to the minecraft store and spend coins. And, there has been no other hints that anything else is blocked on the network. I managed to confirm that the issue is the wifi by signing in on my phone (sign in works on 4g, but not on wifi). What could be preventing the connection? I might be able to talk the rental house owner into altering settings if I had a hit as to what the problem is. Can anyone give any hints? |
Mr DRILLER DrillLand - How to hurt Druaga in the Hole of Druaga? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:09 PM PDT In the Hole of Druaga attraction in Mr DRILLER DrillLand, how do you fight Druaga, the boss? When you have fetched the key and unlocked the door, you enter a room where Tiara (Eguri), dressed as Druaga, confronts you. She hangs from strings and moves back and forth outside of your reach. I have managed to figure out this much:
So one strategy is to collect as many red dristones as possible before the fight, and hope that you have enough of them. I have beaten her on classic difficulty at level 1 like this. In theory, if you don't have enough it might be possible to keep digging down to find more during the fight, but you seem to need a lot of luck. I feel like I'm missing something. Is there some way to hurt her without red dristone? Or are you simply intended to scavenge as much as you can before starting the fight? I have tried breaking blocks when she is in contact with them, including blocks matching her current color, but it hasn't seemed to do anything. I have tried drilling her strings or blocks in contact with her strings. Perhaps I need to do something at a particular time? |
Bought refurbished PS4, can’t connect to either controller Posted: 13 Jun 2021 04:33 PM PDT I have very recently bought a refurbished PS4 for myself, and I'm sad to say I'm already having troubles before I can even play any kinds of games. Neither of my PS4 controllers I bought with it connect to the thing. One was straight out of the box too. They're both Sony brand as well, nothing third party. I've tried resetting the controllers, turning off and on my PS4, even getting three other USB ports. Nothing. Just the same screen telling me to connect my DualShock 4 to the usb and press the button. Sadly, since it's factory reset, I'm not able to reach any kind of Home Screen, so no settings for another reset or even Bluetooth connection. Is there anyway I can fix this? I only bought a PS4 because I wanted to play online with my boyfriend, who also owns a PS4, so I'm very very new to this system. |
How can I heal the most health while outside of the world border? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:46 PM PDT While outside the world border, I take tons of damage and would like to find a way to heal more than my previous solution. I am using world border as a function in my minigame and being out of world border is part of the minigame as world border size will shrink to 0 forcing players to heal up. My way to survive being outside the border currently is to use Lingering Potions of Healing 2. This way was still not fast enough and I died. Here is the world border settings: |
Which coloured gem paths can be completed prior to unlocking the respective coloured gems? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 05:56 PM PDT I'm currently completing a walkthrough guide for the achievements in "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy". In "Crash Bandicoot", you need a total of 26 gems to be able to unlock all of the achievements. However, there are a total of 27 gems, including the gem in "Stormy Ascent". I started wondering what was the best gem to skip, if aiming for completing the achievement set as efficiently as possible. "Castle Machinery" appears to be the winner; there is a shortcut that bypasses all of the boxes. However, the level isn't all that hard to complete with the clear gem. It would be ideal to skip a coloured gem; those levels all require completing the level without reloading from a checkpoint. Depending on player skill, these gems could take considerably more time to unlock. I have seen some speedrunning techniques where players were able to use exploits to enter coloured gem paths before unlocking the respective coloured gem. If I can do this with all paths of a particular colour, I'd effectively be able to ignore that coloured gem. I've watched a few speedruns, and spent hours researching on speedrun.com; but I'm not sure if there are any other skips I may have missed. In "Crash Bandicoot", which coloured gem paths can be completed prior to unlocking the respective coloured gems? |
How do I modify game1_10.dat to change the seed packages that appear in the top bar? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:56 PM PDT I wanted to make a Python program that modifies which seed packets appear on the top bar in "Roof Survival (hard)". The file where the level is saved is called "game1_10.dat". I googled how to do it, but didn't find anything. Is it possible to make this modification to a save file? How do I do it? I've already tried opening the file with Notepad. I leave a fragment of what appears: According to the Plants vs Zombies wiki, the user1.dat file must be modified with a hex editor, so I assumed that in the case of game1_10.dat it would be the same. Learning how to edit it manually would be my first step before doing it with Python. |
In Minecraft, how can you stop items from disappearing? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 10:42 PM PDT I'm dying pretty recently in Minecraft, and I always have fear that my items will go to waste. I found out at this question that you're able to last with your items 5 minutes before they go away. Five minutes!! That's not a lot, so I want to know if it's possible to extend the amount of time you have, and if it is possible, what are all the ways you can do so? Note that I don't want any command blocks, and I'm playing in a Survival world. |
Minecraft (and Java) loading problems Posted: 13 Jun 2021 04:49 PM PDT Ok so whenever I try to join any Minecraft server, I can not:
And I have tried everything to fix this problem
One thing I also noticed is when I try to use gradle for java it does not connect. For example when I try to use Mcreator it just fails to connect, or when I tried to build gradle in intelliji for making a fabric mod it just said Can anyone please tell me what is going on? This is super annoying. EDIT - More problems (1.17 does not install):I tried installing 1.17 and it failed, here is the error message: This probably has something to do with it, because I have never had trouble installing new versions before this issue. This problem is really beggining to get on my nerves, my friends are starting an smp that I want to be part of, but I can't because I can not play 1.17 or load chunks on older versions. I would be very grateful for anybody who would help solve this problem (I will be adding a bounty as soon as I can). |

Are Items Found by Cutting Grass Random, or Fixed? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 09:08 PM PDT In Bravely Default 2, when cutting grass in the overworld or a dungeon, sometimes the player receives an item - sometimes money, sometimes gear, sometimes healing items. Are these drops fixed, where cutting a particular section of grass always rewards the same item, or are they randomly generated when grass is cut? |
Where are the unmarked vendors of Genshin Impact? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 05:08 PM PDT So asides from the marked vendors in each town, there seem to be quite a few unmarked vendors in each town, in addition to vendors found just roaming the world. How many hidden vendors can I find throughout the world, and where can I find them? |
Is it possible to sync all my games to steam from Epic Games Launcher, and Microsoft Store? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 11:29 PM PDT As the title states, is it possible that I could import my games from Microsoft Store, Epic Games Launcher, into Steam, so they can be launched from Steam? An example is I have Totally Accurate Battle Simulator on Microsoft Store because of Xbox GamePass, (I have an Xbox too), So is it possible that I can add the game from Add a non steam game Feature to add the game? I tried but could not find the right I would like someone to tell me if it is possible |
Can the second player's "mom" mail a foreign fruit? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 04:01 AM PDT I would like to know if it is possible for the second character's mom to send a foreign fruit just like the primary character's mom did. |
How can I make a command that makes all my wolves sit and stand? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 05:02 PM PDT I've started a new Minecraft world and decided that I wanted to reach functional invulnerability by having like 50 unnamed wolves follow me around. However, this comes with a few issues, because having them follow around all the time makes it impossible to loot desert temples, they die by the dozen whenever I jump into a ravine, etc. It is a hassle to make them all sit and stand up, so I tried making a command that makes them all sit. Here's what I tried so far: Now the key to this seems to be the /data command. The command: allows me to make JackLondon the wolf sit, which is great. The issue is that the /data command does not readily work with more than one entity at a time and I haven't found a way to circumvent that. I also haven't found a way to make it affect multiple unnamed entities. Any code that allows me to make wolves or pets in general sit and stand all at once would be welcome. |

What's the point of fighting monsters in Zelda BotW? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:55 PM PDT When I first started playing BotW, whenever monsters attacked me, I engaged in battle. But soon I noticed that:
Now whenever I get attacked, I just run away, or sometimes run straight through the monster camp (if that's the quickest path to where I'm going to), getting a few arrow hits but saving a lot of time. What's the point of fighting free-roaming monsters or monster camps in BotW vs. just ignoring them? Am I missing something? |
How can I brand a fifth War Chief? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 04:16 AM PDT My current quest is to brand five War Chiefs, but as you can see I only have 4 available and they're all branded already. How can I progress my game? Do I need to command an uruk to become the fifth war chief, if that's possible. I am unsure of how to progress at this stage. Each of the dominated war chiefs has a mission, which just summons them. As they're branded they just stroll up to me and I can grab them and dominate them again. Then once I've dominated them the mission just lights up again and I can repeat it. |
How are zombies rankings calculated in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 09:59 PM PDT I'm quite a fan of Black Ops zombies especially Black Ops 2, and I have currently Rank 4, skull with knife, and I was wondering why I haven't got to rank 5 yet. I used to get taken down a lot in the early games but now with more experience I tend to only go down maybe once/twice per game with 1k kills. The way I see it, my options are:
A lot of people suggest to calculate kill/death(down?) ratio, although others say this is not the major player in the rank "algorithm". My question is how much of a grind I would have to do with the below stats, and if there is any better way to get to shotgun rank in BO2 zombies? I never reached a very high round (40+) so I kinda think it could be related to that.

Alternative to Steam's "add non-steam game" dialog? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 11:23 PM PDT Steam allows you to add non-steam games to the client. However to do this you have to click the "add non-steam game" button and find the game in the list of all installed programs. I find this kind of a pain, and was wondering if there is an alternative? Perhaps a folder somewhere inside the Steam folder where I can just drop the shortcut created by the installed game? I know this seems like a very small annoyance, but still, just in case. Edit: After some more searching I found there are multiple people asking for improvements to the non-steam games system. All are quite old questions, without much activity. |
Teleporting a player from the overworld to the end Posted: 14 Jun 2021 12:26 AM PDT Is there any way to teleport a player from the overworld to the end? Or a way of teleporting a player to a random enderman in the end? |
Minecraft only allows me to play offline? Posted: 13 Jun 2021 03:39 PM PDT I saw another question like this, but none of the answers seemed to work, so here is my situation. My computer is getting Internet. I am asking this question from the same PC, so I clearly have a working Internet connection. When I open Minecraft, the launcher comes up and then just says "Play Offline". How can I play online? Is something blocking it? Any help would be appreciated! NOTE: This happens when playing from my PC and my gameband when plugged into my PC! UpdateMy entire firewall is now disabled, but it is still doing this. All errors say to check the firewall and allow Minecraft through, but it is disabled (and even if it wasn't, it allows both Minecraft and Java TM SE Binary). I am starting to think it may be malware. Any ideas for finding any malware programs that block Internet use (if they exist)? |
