Unable to Join Minecraft LAN server [Java 1.17.1]

I've been trying to connect to my little brother's LAN world so we can play without having to start fresh. I know its likely a firewall issue on his computer's side because he can join me without issue, but I cannot join him unless I turn off his firewall, which no one should have to do. I made sure we are on the same network, we can ping each other's pcs. I made sure javaw.exe was allowed on both of our pcs, restarted many times. I can even SEE the world on the server list, but I cant connect for some unknown reason with the firewall.

Can anyone help me identify an old racing game, maybe from N64 or Playstation? All that we can remember is that it had one level where you would shrink down and race through an arcade.

How does the Luck stat work in Golden Sun?

What exactly does the Luck stat do, and how should I manage it? E.g. should I boost one player's stat to boost pickups/drops, or boost all to increase critical hits/weapon unleashes?

(to specify, I'm not asking if I should do one or the other, I'm basing that comparison off the assumption that it might work similar to how it does in other games)

Party/Character optimisation in Golden Sun

So I have jumped back into a nostalgia trip recently, starting with Golden Sun, then I'll be moving on to Golden Sun 2.

When I played originally, my adolescent brain was very much "stick to the rules", and I would avoid mixing up the classes as much as possible, only switching djinn to allow for Psynergy like "Growth" on a strictly necessary basis, and setting djinn so that they wouldn't affect the class if I didn't have enough to keep the party mono-elemental.

However, I have been dabbling more recently after watching some speedruns and playthroughs, looking into mixing up the classes a bit more. I found this page which goes into the breakdowns and requirements for the "best classes" for each member, and so far I have made Isaac a "Ninja" class, and Garett a "dragoon" class. However, while I am finding the classes more enjoyable for their diversity, damage output and utility, I've had a few issues with stats.

For example, the Ninja Class has one of the best DPS Psynergies I've seen so far (Shuriken), which deals the same damage to all targets hit. The problem is that it drains PP like no tomorrow.

So what I want to try is this:

  • Isaac: Ninja
  • Garett: Dragoon
  • Ivan/Mia: White Mage/Hermit (haven't decided who will be which yet)

To keep things simple: which stat(s) should I prioritize for each character, abased on the class I assign to them?

Can I disable blood on Splitgate?

I started a game of minesweeper, and it ended pretty unspectacularly:

Is there anything I actually can do in such a situation? The reason I ask is because Minsweeper Online includes tasks like "Win 2 Expert games in a row", and after winning one, then losing the other like that feels pretty bad.

Is it just down to luck?

Why did the Sierra adventure games contain dead ends? [closed]

Back in my high-school days of the nineties, I remember that there were two major publishers of point-and-click adventures: LucasArts and Sierra.

It was well-known at the time that you could get stuck in a "dead end" in Sierra adventures (i.e., you can't make progress, finally check some walk-through after hours of frustration, only to discover that you should have done something differently in a previous scene that you cannot return to), but not in LucasArts games. Thus, my friends and I played every LucasArts game we could get our hands on, but avoided Sierra.

We were not alone: A quick web search reveals that these dead ends were a major source of frustration among players.

Now my question is: Why did they add those dead ends? It apparently prevented people from purchasing their games and negatively affected the reputation of their games---which is a pity, since many games (e.g. the Gabriel Knight series) have great, well-written stories.

So, why did they do it? Do we have an official statement from one of the game designers explaining why on earth they deliberately made their games less enjoyable than they could have been?

Minecraft inventory shortcuts not working on macOS

I was playing Plants VS. Zombies 2 Chinese Version, and I went on to play on Penny's Pursuit as a new event started, and while I got on the level 3, I found this zombie:

It does not appear in Almanac or in the beginning where all zombies of the level are seen while choosing seeds for the level. The zombie basically messes around going anywhere all the way up to the lawn mower by moving both horizontally and vertically, it won't cause any harm to the plants, heals the zombies, randomly drops silver and gold coins, and when you defeat it, it spams silver and gold coins on the location he died.

To mention again, it's not regular PvZ 2, it's the Chinese version of it.

How do I change elytra texture based on its custom name?

I'm working on a name-based texture pack for my SMP, and have figured out a majority of things but elytra and trident. I feel like trident will be easier once I get the elytra, and I've looked up tutorials but none show how. If I can't do this and need to make another elytra image folder with a different name/texture, I would like an explanation on how to do that.

Dualshock 4 controller connected but not detected

I have a DS4 controller and I've installed DS4Windows by Jay2Kings and my controller worked until I decided to upgrade it to the ryochan7 version. The controller was obviously disconnected so i had to reconnect it to my PC, I think the last time it worked it connected as a "Everything Else" but this time it was only found in "Bluetooth" as a Input and it isnt showing up in the game controllers panel, nor is it detected by steam. All my config supports on steam are disabled. I have tried just about everything to fix this. Reinstalling my drivers (HID Game Controller), Reinstalling DS4Windows, Reinstalling HIDGuardian, Disconnecting and Reconnecting it, Changing the Hardware Registry and running DS4Windows as Admin.

TLDR : The controller is connected but isnt detected by anything else. It has a white lightbar while connected, it does not disconnect spontaneously. On USB, It has the same drivers with additions of mic and sound. It now has a breathing yellow/orange lightbar.

This doesn't seem like any other issue, so thanks in advance.

Minecraft melee mobs don't attack

I have been playing a lot of Minecraft Demo recently, and one thing I have noticed is that melee mobs like Zombies, Vindicators or Endermen refuse to attack me, even if I attack them first. I did modify the world data to give myself hardcore mode and extend the trial time, but that's all I did. Anyone know a fix?

Are there any sure-fire ways to beat Round 100 on Deflation mode?

There is an achievement for beating Round 100 on Deflation mode. A long time ago, there was a glitch that allowed players to earn money in Deflation mode, but that has since been patched. There are still probably glitched I could use to earn money, but they are really time-consuming.

My highest round is 95 on Cubism with Sauda. When Sauda was added, she was OP. I took advantage of that for sure. I know she can easily solo all the way up to Round 100 in a regular game, but that's with money and early level-ups. That's not possible in Deflation.

Are there any strategies, preferably glitchless, that could ensure a win? Not specifically with my current setup, but with any map and any hero?

Is it possible to build more than one Dark Temple of the Sun God in Bloons TD 6?

Do mobs get stronger the further you're away from your spawn point?

Do mobs literally get stronger in Minecraft? I'm reading a book and it said that mobs get stronger the further you are away from spawn. For instance, mobs would spawn with better armor and witches are more common.

Is this true? And if so, how does that even work?

I am on the Hypixel Minecraft server with my friends. I just changed my username last night. I have logged back in, reloaded the launcher, but I still cant get in any multiplayer servers. It says "failed to authenticate connection" or "Unidentified Username"

So, basically, I want to download the Nemesis Map Pack on Call of Duty: Ghosts. As you may know, CoD:Ghosts is a 360 game that is backward compatible on Xbox One. When I go to the download screen, it says; "Available Space: 504.69 MB" "Required Space: 1.56 GB" Normally, I would download it just to see if it is incorrect, and if it wasn't, I'd just uninstall it. The thing is, this map pack costs $14.99+tax. I don't want to waste $16 on this map pack if I can't play it. So that's what I'm asking you. What do I do? P.S.: I already tried "Clear Local XBox 360 Data"

What sort of cord do I need to fix my wired Xbox One controller?

Back in December my parents got my a new wired Xbox One controller. Recently, it's cord broke and I cannot find a replacement. The issue is that inside the port it has this little bit that comes up. If you try to put a normal cord in then it catches the big and won't go into the actual port.

My parents and I have scoured Amazon for the cord, for the controller, even Google but to no avail. So I have no idea where to get a replacement for the cord.

So I'm looking for a cord that won't be caught by the big and will be able to charge the controller.

As you beat levels in Candy Crush you stack boosters. Is there a limit? For instance, I often replay level 1 (over and over) up to 8 times to stack boosters and then use them on the 400 Level rounds. I can't figure out if there is a limit (like if I play level 1 ten times in a row, am I wasting my time? Did I stop stacking boosters at the 8th play?)

Under Settings > World generation > Road layout for new towns, it is possible to specify what the road network will look like. The default is 3x3 grids. When starting a new game, all towns on the map will fit perfectly into a grid such that even when cities merge, the road network will still be consistently composed of 3x3 grids everywhere.

However, when a user founds a new town, the road network of the new town is not guaranteed to perfectly fit into the existing 3x3 grid layout.

How can I found new towns while making sure that the road network of the new town fits perfectly into the existing road network?

What are the drop rates for items in pots?

Does anyone know the drop rate for items in pots in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time? I found a table for basically everything else (here if you're interested) but it doesn't include most pots. I know some pots drop the same thing every time (for instance, there's one pot in Goron City that always drops a Deku Stick), but I'm looking for just in general. I also don't really care about the flying pots because those aren't all over the place.

I ve finished NieR Automata two days ago, and can't get enough of it.

I am reading a lot about the YoRHa project, ect... But I can't seems to find the meaning of the name itself.

It look like an acronym to me, but I have no clue of what it could be, or if it mean anything or if it is just a cool sounding name.

Keeping specific items on death, rather than all

I'm searching for a method in which it would allow me to "tag" certain items (for example, those with a specific name) to be kept on death, while items that were not 'tagged' would not be kept. I haven't tried much yet as I dont know where to really start from in order to accomplish such an effect. I'm currently playing on minecraft 1.11.2, for anyone wondering.

How do I gain altitude with the Wing Cap?

In Super Mario 64, I'm able to fly with the Wing Cap. I'm having trouble gaining altitude though. (I'm trying to get the star in the Wing Cap course, and it's hard to get the coins that are higher than my initial altitude, since I can't fly up.)

How can I make Mario go higher while he's flying?
