| How can I tell when events end? Posted: 13 Aug 2021 12:25 AM PDT A while ago, I had a some but not all of my matches completed in an event called Quick Draft Strixhaven. I stopped playing for a week, and when I came back, the event had disappeared. I think I got rewards for the matches I did play, but I was unable to finish my unplayed matches. More recently, I saw that the equivalent event for Adventures in the Forgotten Realms was ending, but this time it had a timer counting down with something like "32:16:27". I'm assuming that this timer shows up as the event is within days of closing (48 hours?) I sometimes leave a draft unfinished for a week until I can come back to it the next weekend. In general, how can I know when an event is going to end? Is there any way to know about this in client, or do I need to look somewhere online?  |

| I never seem to have a farm animal stuck in love mode Posted: 13 Aug 2021 04:30 AM PDT To give some background, I used to know if I had an uneven number of farm animals because one of them would still emit heart particles after feeding all of them. Now, I never seem to have a lone cow stuck in love mode, which is odd to me because that should happen every other time. So my question is, is this just chance (maybe I missed an animal), or is there something else I'm missing?  |

| Why can't I swim from Darkshore to Felwood? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 11:02 AM PDT I was leveling a Druid Paladin, and I wanted to see if I could swim to Felwood from Darkshore to peek in on my partner's raid team. I noticed them flying across the map. I then noticed two small bodies of water connect these two places, but I was unable in game to make this swim. It was like running into a swim-wall that prevented me from going further. I recently deactivated my account, but below is a screenshot of the map. I'm sure there are practical reasons for this, but I'm curious if I'm the only one who has tried this or if someone knows the actual reasons for why this is not possible.

Other times I can stand directly in front of an enemy for as long as I want without issue. How can I tell if an enemy is prepared to counterattack my units with overwatch?  |
| Blood On The Ice won't trigger at all [duplicate] Posted: 12 Aug 2021 08:38 AM PDT I'm trying to start blood on the ice quest and it just won't trigger. I have completed the civil war quest on jarl ulfric stormcloak's side. Everyone is talking about it in windhelm and susana the wicked is still alive in candlehearth hall. I am level 9. I have also pickpocketed tova shatter shield and got the key to hjerim and the quest still won't trigger. I also pickpocketed calixto and got his chest key, I got his butcher journal #2 and the quest will still not trigger. I have been to windhelm multiple times and I have been there between the times 7pm-7am. Please help because I do not want to start another save. (I didn't join the dark brotherhood or do the aventus arentino quest because I heard that it can mess up this quest).  |

Posted: 12 Aug 2021 01:03 PM PDT Apparently there is some way to store play (i.e. inputs, timing etc) of a Doom level (Ultimate Doom and Doom II) as text file, so that the precise replay can be replayed on anther person's computer without needing the screen capture. This is said to be particularly useful for speedrunners. It also gives auxiliary advantages over screen capture since it can be easily read by computer programs which may attempt to catch cheating, or do other interesting things, like game analysis. Chess also uses this capability, since a whole game can be stored as a Portable Game Notation file. Is there a general terminology that describes this reproducibility of play in a game?  |

| Minecraft Launcher won't open at all Posted: 12 Aug 2021 08:18 AM PDT I have attempted to run the Minecraft launcher several times but it won't respond at all. It has previously worked just fine on this machine, the only thing different is that my OS (Windows 10) recently updated, and this is the first time I have attempted to run it since then. I have tried to troubleshoot it in several ways, I have erased the profiles.json file in .minecraft, to no avail. Then, I tried updating Java. When that failed, I tried running the game in compatibility mode. As a last resort, I went nuclear and completely wiped any Minecraft files in my computer. All other threads I've found tell me to do one of the above, and it'll work, the rest say that its something to do with a faulty driver, but considering Minecraft is the only thing not working (And I do run a load of games and graphics design programs), I'm a bit skeptical that it's that. After all of those attempts I'm getting a bit worried that it's something related to that fateful Windows update, as they all seem to break something when they happen and unfortunately can't be toggled off (If someone can show me the way to permanently disable those too, I'd be grateful) Some more system information:
Edit: More information, as requested. It's not that the launcher crashes upon executing, it simply won't be executed or opened at all, without any new windows being opened, any error messages, crash logs or new processes in the Task Manager. All I get as a feedback is a split second of the mouse loading animation. I have been told to look through the crash logs, but since I did a fresh install while removing all Minecraft related folders and files from my computer, there doesn't exist a .minecraft directory where the crash logs are being generated. I have also attempted to utilize the alternative launcher, as indicated by another user, as provided in Mojang's website (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/alternative). I run in exactly the same problem: Nothing is opened, I get no new processes, and there are no crash logs. I attempted to execute it with administrator privileges turned on, as well as through the command prompt directly, to no avail. I get the same feedback as trying to open the default launcher, a split second of the mouse loading animation.  |
| What is this downtown side job during the Corpo prologue? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 01:00 PM PDT At the start of the game for Corpo lifepath there's a side job on the map, just west of corporate plaza. It's marked "UNDISCOVERED - Who knows what you might find?" with "DANGER: VERY HIGH". I don't see any way to get there during the prologue. Is it possible? If it's something we're not meant to do until later, why is it showing up now?

| How to ensure I control France after its capitulation? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 09:08 AM PDT I was playing the Netherlands, took over part of China, Portugues, and Spain. After defeating Spain I attacked France from North and south and invaded it very fast almost completely myself. At some point, France capitulated. The problem is that instead of taking its territories to myself (looking to get its dockyards to build the fleet and assault England), France felt under Germany and created a Vichy France... As a result... I got nothing. Curious why? How can I ensure that I get at least a part of France's territory till the war is over? This all is with the plan to get "Putting the Raid on the Medway to Shame" achievement P.S. If it helps, before attacking Spain I had my own faction with DEI and Venezuela. While in war with Spain, Japan attacked DEI and as a result, when I attacked France I believe I was in this huge conflict when:

I did events, I did 3 pinata, I did arena. I usually have 33 out of 40 seed packets. I wonder if there should be anything infinitely repeatable where I can get those seed packets? So I can get 40  |
| How to prevent overseas colonies from becoming vassals? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 11:01 AM PDT I truly love the EU series, and I've played it numerous times, but everytime that my overseas lands (colonies) become too large they are declaring themselves independent and they become a vassal. I find this very frustrating, since I put a lot of money and resources in those countries/cities, for example to build ships and armies there, so that they don't need to travel from Europe. I would understand it if those countries would be angry with me, but most of the time they are nearly 100% happy, so I find this separation really stupid. The only way to prevent this seems to have maximum 3-4 countries next to each other there, and then conquer lands farther away. Btw: I know that in real history a lot declared themselves independent, but they were always angry, and not 100% happy like in the game.  |

Is there any way to see a master list of blueprints I have unlocked away from the station that crafts it. Posted: 12 Aug 2021 01:34 PM PDT I was looking into the mechanics of Poké balls, and there's a lot of conflicting information about how the bonus from timer balls is calculated. Earlier than Gen 5, everywhere agrees that the bonus starts at 1 and increases by 1 every 10 turns, to a maximum of 4 at but it's not clear whether that's supposed to be rounded down to the nearest integer. From Gen 5 onwards, some places claim the calculation has changed to: However, the majority of sites only mention the other formula. So are these two formulae correct for their respective generations? Are either of them rounded?  |

Basically, I want the mouse cursor to move with the analog, but also conform to its constraints. That is, when I release the analog stick and the analog resets to the center position, I would prefer the cursor to also move back to the center of the screen. I've tried out all sorts of things on ControllerMate, but maybe I'm missing something. This video shows another user using the same sort of feature I am trying to access.  |

Posted: 12 Aug 2021 04:20 PM PDT If you leave a machine without maintenance or endure heavy earthquakes, it's likely going to explode at some point, leaving you with a burnt room that you can't sell or rebuild. Is there something to do with it, some way to pay to repair/rebuild it?  |
